~~~My "Summer Garden" kitchen~~~
Hi everyone. As you all know if you have been following me, I love to CHANGE things around for the seasons! I mostly do the kitchen and a few touches in the dining room.  So, after Easter, I brought out my garden themed things and went to work. I am pairing down in the look somewhat. I used to have more things displayed but am liking the cleaner, less cluttered look right now. This birdhouse lamp is one of my favorite pieces. It is ceramic and I love the color on it and the pretty vine detail. I used some ivy and a nest to hide the cord.
 This is my utensil holder. It and the matching trivet (next picture) came from Target several years ago.
 Years ago I saw this little piece of fence at Joann Fabric so brought it home and embellished it with some flowers and MINI ivy.
 I love the saying on this plate. It came from Kirklands several years ago too. Next to it is a little "balloon person" garden lady. A potter from my area made these for MANY years and I have several of her pieces.
 My windowsill.
 Found this cute candle holder many years ago. It has a GARDENIA scented candle inside. I LOOOVE the smell of gardenias!!!!!
 One of 3 little garden gnomes I found on clearance last year. His pots and shovel are ready to be put into use for planting!
 The little creamic tile I fell in love with many years ago. I have changed out the ribbon several times now.
 My soap dispenser and a few mini roses from the pot out on the deck.
 One piece of the counter. I would LOVE to replace these outdated tiles with another surface but I doubt that is going to happen any time soon:):)
 This plate came from CTS last year. I love the stand too!
 My hutch with all the birdhouses, a lamp and some topiaries.
 Cute little lamp found MANY years ago up near Lancaster, Pa.
 This platter was a gift from my cousin several years ago. I had admired it in a hospital gift shop and she surprised me and got it for me!!!!!! Thanks, Bonnie. I love it....and you!
 Hand decorated birdhouse.
 I put 2 candle rings together to make this pretty. The candlesticks are shaped like a tulip! You can't see it well though because of the candlering.
 I like to light the candles at dinner time.
 I made this "birdbath". An upside down pot with a saucer on top and a mini mirror inside for the water. Then embellished it with flowers and a bird.
 I painted this napkin holder and added the pot, flowers, birds etc. Here is one side...
 and here is the other side.
 Mybreakfast room server.
 This was black when I found it. I painted it green, added the flowers and little signs hanging from it. And the little gardening hat.
 I made this birdcage too. It was HARD getting my hand inside there to decorate it!!!!
 Isn't he cute!
 I crossed 2 pieces of bamboo for the perch. Can you see?
 Perched this bird on top to watch over the little ones.
 They just may have come from this nest!!!:):)
 On top of my fridge I have 2 of Joe's lanterns (he collects lanterns) and this piece I put together this year.
 Ivy winds around the wires, berries, and other greens and some sticks.
I hope you have enjoyed the tour once again. I am joining Susan for Met Monday at http://www.betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/   Join us over there to see some amazing transformations!!!   7. Your garden kitchen just makes me happy and feel like maybe summer will come around. I adore the cart and the birdcage. I have so many ratty looking outdoor items and I just started with a paint can so maybe now they will look presentable. If not, I have to dejunk and get rid of them. Fun to bring some inside too like you did!
    On your question - the cake platter I found at TJMaxx/ Home Goods, which is where I get most of my cake platters - I have a thing for them. The dome I just got this year from a local store Tai Pan which is also in California if you ever get there. If you do, bring a big suitcase because they are amazing and used to be wholesale, now they are wholesale to the public, meaning they are more expensive than wholesale but still great.
    Have a great week.
