~~~My Mantle Dressed For Fall!!!!~~~
Hi everyone! I decided I would join Leyla at The Lettered Cottage for her It's Fall Y'ALL Mantle party! Go on over and see ALL of the beautiful Fall mantles that are linked up! You can find it at: http://www.theletteredcottage.blogspot.com/   This first picture I took with out the lamps on but just the overhead spots.
 I don't remove everything that lives on the mantle the rest of the year. I just added the gorgeous berry garland, the brown glass pumpkins placed on candlesticks and the arrangement in the center that I made. I also added some pumpkins and acorns and gourds to the berry garland.
 The garland is LUSH and full! I love it and have had it for several years.
 I took the bottom felt off the glass pumpkins so I could place a small battery tea light inside. They flicker and look so pretty at night.
 I thought the pics might be coming out too dark so turned on the flash for a few pictures. I don't care for this but thought it would give you a better look.
 The pumpkin that is the top of the arrangement is beaded, have to have a little SPARKLE!!!
 I love this pretty handled urn that I did the arrangement in. The colors are perfect for Fall!
 This is a VERY simple arrangement to do. But it makes a pretty statement, don't you think?
So, hope you have enjoyed seeing my mantle. I am leaving in the morning for 5 days at the beach with 8 other friends so won't be around. I will be back posting on Sunday!!! Thanks so much for stopping by! XO, Pinky
~~~Jaime's Bridal Shower~~~

Hi everyone! I just got home from a bridal shower! Jaime was a bridesmaid in my daughter's wedding last year and now Tracy is a bridesmaid for Jaime in her upcoming wedding! Today was her shower and they DID manage to SURPRISE her!!!! Sorry these first 2 pics are not well lit but she was coming in from outside.

 This was her beautiful cake. This picture was taken last year at Tracy's wedding! She will be a GORGEOUS bride:):) That is Jason, her fiance. They are such a cute couple!

 One of the tables with some of the FOOD!!! It was ALL good!
 The tables were set with a beachy theme.
 Cute flip flop plates and cups.
 And scatters!
 This is Jaime and her Mom.
 She opened a gift that her Mom made her. It is a beautiful counted cross stich. She will treasure it forever, I know!
 Here she is with her "bow hat". She was a real good sport about putting it on! She is so cute!!!!!

Here is the piece her Mom did for her!
 This is Jaime and Tracy.
 Me and Tracy.
 And Jaime and her Mom again.
It was a fun day and a real nice shower. The girls did a great job! Thanks for dropping by. Now I have to figure out how to send Jaime these shots:):)   XO, Pinky

~~~ Fall Arrangemnet # 2!!!~~~
Hi and Happy Sunday everyone! Last weekend I made several Fall arrangements and today wanted to share this one that I made for the Baker's Rack in our dining room. I already had ALL of the supplies that I used in this arrangement so the cost right now was $0.00!!!! Can't beat that, right!? I have had the container for many years and it has done duty with many things. It is actually a nice plastic material so holds up beautifully.
 I used a variety of things in this arrnagement: mums, orange cosmos, hydrangeas from my garden, Greens, leaves, tall spkiey flowers etc.
 I also had some pumpkins and gourds that I poked a hole into and added a stick to make a pick. Then they can be placed throughout the arrangement.
 A couple of sunflowers that I had in my "stash" of goodies:) Aren't these orange cosmos so pretty!!!!
 Some textural elements.
I really like how this turned out. When I post the dining room you can see more of this arrangement and how it looks on the baker's rack. So, stay tuned:) Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday! I don't know if this is a true "metamorphisis" but I am joining MM at http://www.betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/  TONS of inspiration over there! XO, Pinky I am also joining Marty for Tabletop Tuesday at http://www.astrollthrulife.blogspot.com/
~~~A Quote that hit my heart~~~

The majority of us lead quiet, unheralded lives as we pass through this world.  There will most likely be no ticker-tape parades for us, no monuments created in our honor.  But that does not lessen our possible impact, for there are scores of people waiting for someone just like us to come along; people who will appreciate our compassion, our unique talents.  Someone who will live a happier life merely because we took the time to share what we had to give.  Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word , a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have a potential to turn a life around.  It's overwhelming to consider the continuous opportunities there are to make our love felt. ---Leo Buscaglia

I wanted to share this quote by Leo Buscaglia, because it spoke to me. PLEASE be conscientious with your words.  Words can uplift someone, OR words can HURT! XO, Pinky

~~~WELCOME Fall!!!~~~~~
Hi everyone! I wasn't going to post the porch yet but since it is the first day of FALL, I decided to take some pics and WELCOME you all! It is supposed to RAIN, alot, here for the next few days so I had to take advantage and get some shots!  My impatiens are BOUNTIFUL here in the front of the house. As you can see, they are about 2 feet high! I purposely plant red and orange impatiens in the Spring, so that they will look good through the Fall! I'm smart like that:):)
 The front porch as seen from the driveway.
 This bench is an oldie but a goodie! Last year we stained it EBONY. I love it black and especially in the Fall!
 On the bench I have my scarecrow (who wouldn't scare a flea)!!! along with a pretty, colorful pillow, a clay jack o lantern, a mum and gourds and pumpkins!
 AWWW, isn't he cute???:):)
 I don't "do" spooky! I like FRIENDLY looking pumpkins:):)
 On the other side of the porch is a chair and the round table from the back deck.
 This little guy welcomes you as well.
 I found this great pumpkin at CTS last year! Since it says "Harvest time" I can leave it like this til Thanksgiving! Love that!
 My Joe grew this coleus from a tiny little plant! The colors are SO pretty! He kept it alive over last winter!
 This little pillow was found at CTS also.
I DO welcome Fall! It is a favorite time of year for me. I look forward to apple cider, pumpkin pie and bread, comfort food, wearing different clothes, the smell of candles, and snuggling by a fire! It is still warm right now but cooler weather is right around the corner, I know! You all are WELCOME any time, so please come back!!!! XO, Pinky   I will join some of these parties too:
