~~~A Little More Fall!!!~~~
 Hi everyone! First I want to thank you all for your concern and prayers during Sandy We are so very fortunate, had no damage or flooding and didn't even lose our power. I feel so bad, and pray for all those who did sustain damge and losses. So, yesterday Joe and I stayed downstairs all day in the basement and kept checking the sump pump and also emptied about 15 boxes and organized the rest into sections in the basement. I found a box of Fall decor items that I hadn't located yet:) So, here are a few new things in the kitchen now. I love this black iron pumpkin candle holder. I embellished it with a leaf garland and a few fall picks.
 I found my Favorite fall lamp too!
 I love the raised pinecones and branch on it.
 This is my copper pumpkin that my son, Brian, gave me many years ago. It sat on the fridge in the old house, but has a new home here:)
So, that's it for now. I can't believe that very soon we all will be decorating for CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!! I know that some of you have already started! I am anxious to see what I can use here in this new house and where I will put things. It will be alot of fun. And those things that I can't use I will give to our daughter for HER new house!!!! Joe's DELICIOUS Chicken Marsala
 Hello my friends. I wanted to share a recipe with you and hope you will try it. Lucky for me, my husband is a GREAT cook. This is his version of Chicken Marsala. It is SOOO good, I hope you will try it. The first thing you do ius saute an onion or 2. We did 2 large onions, we love onions:) Then you set them aside and dredge your chicken in flour that has been seasoned with lemon pepper,and a little salt.
 Add the marsala to the pan of onions along with 2 cans of beef BROTH.
 and let them simmer
 After all the chicken is browned, set it aside
 deglaze the pan with a little marsala
 put the chicken back into the pan
 then add back in the onion mixture and let it all cook . This is so yummy. We also added a small can of mushrooms towards the end of the cooking time. If you have fesh mushrooms that is even better.
Hope you try this and enjoy it. We had mashed potatoes and a green vegetable with this. I was in such a hurry to eat, I didn't get a shot. I am joining these parties:
WELCOME to our NEW HOME!!!!!
 Hi everyone and WELCOME!!! I thought I should go outside (before this monster storm hits) and get some shots of the front of the house.  I wish I could have every single one of you here but  I know I can't. You are all welcome though!!!! We are amazed at how beautifully the lawn has come in!!!!We had our 30 day inspection this morning and they found things that we hadn't thought of to fix/tweak. I LOVE this company (Ryan Homes). And no, they are NOT paying me to say this. It has just been a VERY good experience building with them. Our construction manager is having the lawn people come and fill in the ruts and reseed too.  I have had this mailbox cover for many years and couldn't use it at the other house so am glad I can here! For Christmas I have a different plan for the mailbox:)
 See that large rut there? It rained VERY heavily the day after they seeded and this rut formed. There are a few more too, that will be fixed.
 They planted 3 trees across the front. We actually have several leaves on the lawn:):):) Coming from a totally wooded lot where there were millions of leaves this is WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 Now we are approching the front door. The dining room window is on the right and my office is at the left of the door.
 I have my little pumpkin patch sign, 2 bales of hay and an orange pumpkin and a white one, that are both real! I do have a box of large faux gourds etc. that I can not find. Oh well, next year:)
 I just made my new wreath the other day. I love how it turned out. I will do a post on it a little later.
 I placed 2 lanterns and 2 pots of mums right by the door. And of course the Fall welcome mat.
 The rust mums are blooming and the hanging pot is FULL of buds.
 I used burlap ribbon for the bow.  It is still kinds stiff so I need to keep working with it a little.
 I used berry picks, sunflowers, acorn picks, pods and a bush of a leafy stem.
I will bring you into the foyer next.  We are getting pretty settled. Our neighbor came over today and was amazed at how much we have gotten done so that made me feel good. I have ALOT of boxes to organize and go through in the basement but it will get done. I do NOT want to wreck my back again so I am trying to go slowly......sorta:):) I will be linking up with these parties:
~~~Welcome to MY NEW KITCHEN!!!~~~

 Happy Tuesday everyone! Today is my hubby's birthday! I am finally ready to reveal my new kitchen. As I said before, the kitchen, morning room and great room are all one big space. So here we go. This picture above is the cooktop wall. The piece behind the cooktop is made of iron so safe to be behind the stove. Below we are going to the right and starting to look toward the great room.
 Continuing to the right is the sink and breakfast bar. We are looking into the great room. I LOOOOOVE this open space!
 Joe and I sit here for some meals but the TV is too small so sometimes we eat at the table too. Til we get a larger TV:)
 These are our Fall placemats, that we are using right now.
 I got this candle holder several years ago at the place where I used to work. The S and P are many years old and I forget where I got them:)
 These are our new barstools. We chose them because we wanted wood to blend in with the floor and cabinets and they swivel too.
 I have done some decorating above the cabinets but keep tweaking it. I actually bought a big jar a few months ago for up there but haven't found it yet:):) The large jar on the very right is actually made of paper mache and is as light as a feather:) It LOOKS very heavy though.
 This is on the other side of the kitchen. The 2 tiered piece I got at Home Goods when I went to the beach in Sept. I love it above the fridge. Right now it holds pumpkins, soon it will be Christmas:)
 Here is a longer shot of the same area.

 Here is the phone station. I used to collect poterry: for MANY years. I went to juried craft shows and got some nice, unique pieces. And tghis was before the prices went sky high. I got all of these pieces for MUCH less than I would have to pay now. They are fitting in nicely in this new house. I have repurposed the little piece that is several small pots connected together to store pens.
 Joe's cocktail station til he gets the bar built downstairs.
 I placed a VERY large basket that used to hold blankets on it's side and filled it with greens.
Another large pottery piece. I am trying to use pottery and baskets above the cabinets for now.

 I LOVE the gas stove. There is a smooth cooktop base under the grates so it is MUCH easier to clean. I am getting used to cooking with gas now.
 I made this arrangement last year and like it there in the corner.
 Another pottery piece used as a utensil holder.
 This is the pumpkin/gourd topiary I made severeal years ago. Did you notice the pottery switch plate cover? I have 3 and they are now in place here.

 I know you can guess how I am using this:):)

 I really like having the micro and oven stacked.

 My sink is NICE AND BIG!!! My old double sink wasn't big enough for big pots etc.
 The morning room right off the kitchen.

I am very excited to have all this LIGHT at this house and plan to get more LIVE plants. The florist in me has craved having LIVE plants that were impossible to have at the old house in the woods. Gradually I will acquire more.

Thanks so much for your visit. I so appreciate all of my loyal followers. There is alot more to show you as I get rooms put together. So please stay with me:) I am joining these parties:
