~~~Living Room in Winter~~~
Since we are pretty snowbound and I have cabin fever BAD, it gets me to putzing around the house, moving things, rearranging and adding some new stuff too! Today Joe and I hung some baskets in the breakfast room, installed wire shelving on the pantry doors and several other projects that I will share too. So, please come back! Right now I thought I would share the living room. I love this room but know it will be so much prettier when we get some PAINT on the walls! I am so NOT a white wall person. But things are happening slowly due to also having the OTHER house to maintain etc. However, that should be over soon; settlement is rescheduled for this coming Fri. the 21. FINGERS CROSSED!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, on to the living room. After all the glitz and sparkle of the holidays it is nice to have a restful space to relax.
 The mantle and hearth are done simply but with all the things I love.
 The elephants were my in-laws and I am SO happy to have them now.
 All are carved wood. All one piece!!!!
 I added these candle holders for some nighttime ambiance:)
 These bamboo vases were purchased at the place where I used to work. When they came in, one of the girls in receiving called me, knowing my love for anything Asain so she held 2 for me.
 I added the faux greens.
 I have collected baskets forever and wishI still had all of them. Many were giveaway, sadly.
 This little lady is made out of a stone like material.
 I just got this basket last week for a GREAT price! It is deep and well made and only.....
 $9.99!!! It FLEW into my cart:)
 In the morning the sun warms this space. I love to sit on the sofa and read.
 The screen my FIL brought back from Japan. LOVE!!!!
 The elephants on each end of the sofa are from Vietnam and proably my favorite things.
 I decided to do a grouping of some of my blue and white jars in this space. The big jar looked a little lonely all alone:)
 My curio is filled with blue and white pieces and Hummels.
 Behind the screen are one of my hibiscus plants (this one we grew from a piece of the other one!!!)
 I stacked 2 plant stands and added this plant and a heavy metal bird and a boxwood ball on the bottom one.
 The credenza is in the hallway coming in the house and what you see first, approaching the living room.
 After Christmas I finally restyled the inside, much better!
 The crane picture is old and I still like it but have plans for a NEW PIECE!!!!
 The pillows on the sofa change very often, for seasons, holidays or just moods:)
Thanks so much for stopping by. Your visits and comments make my day!
XO, Pinky
