~~~Hold my Hand~~~~
The other day, our dear KariAnne told a story. A story about love, and support, and the REAL meaning of love. It remended me that I have a story to tell too. I have been married to my hubby for almost 47 years now. NO ONE gave us 3 weeks. But we were in love, or what we thought was TRUE LOVE, at the time. Over these almost 47 years we have learned that REAL love is not in the dazzling moments, but the every day. Little things he does that say, "I love you", "I am HERE for you", and always will be. My Mom died in 1991, way too young...for both of us. I had taken care of her, in our house for the last 5 years. She was very ill and was admitted to the hospital so many times that one time in the cafeteria a lady asked me what department I worked in! I practically lived in that hospital. When she died my sister and I planned the funeral and I just could NOT bury her without saying something. I could not let her live her life and not have it acknowledged in some way. So I wrote a poem to read at the funeral. When the priest said I was to come up to the altar, my hubby walked beside me. He stood beside me at the podium and handed me this:
Hold my hand
Feel my strength
 Be stoic and brave
 DO IT FOR YOUR MOTHER
THAT almost undid me but it also gave me the courage to DO IT. I was nervous, and weepy but got through my poem. We had had a rocky relationship, but I always loved her. Through it all I loved her and still do. I miss her and have many regrets about things I never said. But I realize I did the best I could. "When you know better, you do better". That is one of my favorite quotes.
Love to you all,
Pinky
~~~Cheery, Sunny, Yellow and White Table~~~

Our weather is all over the place right now. I am NOT complaining though because I am SO sorry for all those who are being devastated by the tornados and floods. But when it is gray and rainy outside I need to set a cheery table for inside! What is better than yellow!!?? I got this yellow and white tablecloth last year and hadn't used it so that is my base. I wanted a little texture on the table so am using the round, rattan chargers. I really wanted yellow and white astromeria for my flowers but couldn't find them. So daisies are being used and they are a cheery flower too!
 I used a white plate with a pretty edge, a yellow dinner plate with an embossed edge, my favorite white salad plate, a scalloped edge yellow bowl and a budvase in the bowl.
 Yellow votives are at our places too.
 I placed a tiny bee in the edge of the lantern.
 And used a very simple pocket fold for our napkins.
 My terrarium is back on the table, filled with a large ceramic bird and a nest in a clay pot and some greens. I just leaned the garden fork against it. The wicker S and P add a little more texture.

 Yesterday, before I got the flowers the sun peeked out for awhile so you know me, I had to get a few shadow shots:)

 Thanks again for stopping by. You all are the best!!! I am partying with:

~~~Look what I got!!!~~~
For Easter our daughter and Son-in-law brought me this beautiful hydrangea. And at the same time I had been looking (for a long time) for an olive bucket. However the REAL ones are VERY expensive and then Yvonne at Stone Gable reminded me that WALMART carried them!!!!! I had totally forgotten! So, I got online and ordered one right away. Until the weather starts to cooperate my hydrangea will live here!!! In the breakfast room, in my new "olive bucket". I love it and am going to age it so it looks a little more authentic. I have read that you can use toilet bowl cleaner!!!
 This little corner usually has nothing here and when I plant the hydrangea it will be empty again but that is good, as we go that way to go outside to the deck.
 I lined the bucket with a piece of burlap that I had and a plastic saucer for drainage.
 I love the variegation of the pinks!
~~~Copper Molds in the Kitchen~~~

While we were in Fl. I did manage to get to 1 antique store! When I spied these copper molds I grabbed them! Only one is vintage but they were a STEAL!!! I used to have a large collection of copper molds, pots, a colander etc. and gave them all to Goodwill!!!!!!!!!!!! I could KICK myself as I would love to have them all over the kitchen walls now. Oh well, live and learn, right? At the time I never knew we would be moving and I would have great walls to put them on! But I wanted to share with you what I got. I put these 2 on this wall over the one pantry.

 This fish mold is on the wall at the end of the breakfast bar. The round tray stays there for easy access!
 Close up of the one fish mold.
 This is the vintage one. I wish they had more.
 Another fish mold. I am looking for more molds nearby now.

Thanks for your visit, I hope you are having a great weekend!! Partying at:

~~~Spring in the Breakfast Room~~~
Good morning!!! Today is a happy day for me because I am spending the day with my beautiful daughter! She has the day off and she asked me to spend the day with her! I can't tell you how much that means to me! Now, I thought I would share the breakfast room as it is now. Even though we are not having many Spring like temps it IS Spring. I am so glad I brought this hutch into the breakfast room. For those of you who don't know my hubby built this. I love, love it! Here it is. I did this before Easter and will be removing some of the bunnies eventually, but also feel bunnies say Spring too, and not just Easter.
 These little ceramic bunnies are Goebel, the company that makes Hummels.
 This is a new one from Kirklands this year.
 I ceramic bird in a nest under a cloche.
 I filled this hurricane with various eggs.
 Opps, this picture is out of sequence. This is the tall bunny, also new this year. I filled the basket on his back with miniature tulips, ivy and teeny miniature geraniums that I had in my stash:)
 A watering can sits on the shelves under the TV along with one of my demijohns and a little gardening guy. Hopefully I can get outside and plants some flowers SOON!
 I got this pot in Fl. It was love at first sight! Love the handle and finish on it.
 I love the saying on this piece.
 This guy I have had for many years!
 He is a stately guy:)
 I got the carrots in Fl. also so thought he would like them to munch on.
 I also got this turtle shell on our trip, in St. Augustine.
