Sneak peeks of Easter decorations!

I know, it is Feb. But, Easter is so early this year and I have a lot of bunnies so have gotten them out and decorated. I love bunnies all through the year. I will share complete areas soon. Have you started yet??? I did this sofa table in all blue and white. I love lightening up this room for Spring and blue and white does it beautifully! So, I made an arrangement in a blue and white vase and will share it all soon:) I know, I am so bad:)
I found this elephant candlestick at  Tuesday morning and it jumped right into my cart! The blue LED candle is from Joann Fabric just recently. They were half price so I got 2 of the 3 inch ones. I may go back and get the 6 inch ones too! Have never seen LED ones on this color!
These bunnies are usually in the dining room but this year have hopped right onto the coffee table! They were a gift from my daughter many years ago:)
This new birdcage also came from Joann Fabric. I placed one of my faux chocolate bunnies in there with some faux chocolate eggs:)
My 2 Goebel bunnies that I inherited from my Mother-in-law. I LOOOOVE them!
One of my favorite "sparkly" bunnies.
That's all for now. I will be sharing the breakfast room, kitchen, living room, mantle etc. soon, I promise:) Sunday was 60 degrees so I got my front porch all done and then cleaned out the garage and made another trip to Goodwill. I am still purging!

Something New to Greet You!

Actually nothing is new on the credenza but I have never used any of these pieces HERE. After taking the winter décor down I wanted to add even more blue and white to this area. Also, Joe is emptying the bonus room upstairs in preparation for his TRAINS! The entire room will be filled with them. We had a room full at the old house and I will share the link to that at the end of this post if you would like to take a peek:) This will be even bigger and better since he will have much more room.
Anyway, back to the post!! Welcome to my home! I have a pair of these palm tree lamps that I love! I decided to use it here for now, I love it here! The rattan shade brings a beautiful glow in the evening. Note: I am not sure why the lamp looks crooked...it isn't in real life!)
One of my favorite lidded jars sits next to the lamp.
On the other side another lidded jar.
I made a little arrangement in one of my large vases with things in my stash:)

This little lady is made with a stone like material. She is so cute to me!

So, that's my new welcome for now. Even though it is only Feb. since Easter is just a few weeks away I got all the bunnies out. I will be sharing them soon. I hope you have a most beautiful day. Here, we are experiencing torrents of rain but I will not complain. My new mantra is to find the good in every day! I am trying:):)

A "Wild" Dinner Party!

We hosted our dinner group on Sat. night. It is always a fun night. There are 4 couples and we take turns at each others homes once a month.  We did apple, cranberry pork loins in the crockpot, sweet potato casserole and fresh green beans. It all turned out delicious! I have had these dishes for years but don't think I have ever shared them with you. I just LOVE them. They are made in Italy and so beautiful. I don't have a lot of pictures. I snapped a few right before we sat down to eat. The dinner plates are the same and then the salad/dessert plates have 2 different patterns
The one above has the zebra design and the one below the leopard. The dinner plates are all rimmed with the leopard print.
I have 4 animal print wine glasses so used 4 of them and 4 clear wines. And clear water goblets.
I love these candle holders with the leopard print bottoms.
I used paper napkins cause I only have 4 of the linen ones:(
My black flatware and a rattan placemat complete the setting.

We had such a nice evening. I made one snack and 2 of the girls brought snacks too and the other brought dessert. Then we all went downstairs to the bar to continue the evening.
Thanks so much for your visit. I will be sharing here

Some Winter Vignettes

I have cabin fever BAD! It has snowed, then freezing rain, then rain and still cold. I long for Spring so in the mean time I move things around, creating new vignettes to enjoy. I thought I would share some with you. We have dinner group here this coming Sat. so Sunday I will be bringing out the BUNNIES!!! I can't wait! I will be sharing them soon and I hope you'll come back to see.  For now here is what I have done around here lately. This first picture is in my office. I am moving a lot of the African things in here but that will be another post.:)
The stairway has the blue and white pots but new candles that are on a remote and springy candle rings. I also added one of my favorite elephants.
I moved these 2 pieces from the foyer to this tiered piece.   As my friend Shirley from Housepitality Designs says, the accessory shuffle:)
The water bearer is a favorite piece that I inherited. The faux bonsai tree on the other side of the elephant lamp. Those lamps were inherited also. They were purchased by my FIL in India.
This table gets changed out many times a year.

I added some more blue and white to this sofa table.
In this corner by the hearth I have my faux orchid, another jar and in the planter I added faux green apples and my iron sphere.

The back of the screen is painted with bamboo so pretty from this side too!
I put my Christmas cactus in this footed pot. It also has handles that you can't see.

I have enjoyed these vignettes for several weeks and soon some things will move again.  I can't be still sometimes:) I have even been thinking about how I might be able to rearrange the furniture. We'll see.

Pottery in the Kitchen for Winter

Good morning my friends! I sure hope it is warmer where you are than it is here in Pa.! As I type this it is UP to 16 degrees.  So, before all the snow disappears and Spring arrives I use a large part of my pottery collection in the kitchen. I collected pottery from mostly juried craft fairs for years and am so glad because I couldn't afford a lot of the pieces now!! So, I will show you around. This faux succulent arrangement is in a pretty, embossed pot.
A simple pot I got MANY years ago and added the beads.

The large pottery platter is a favorite. This is the vignette on the left side of the buffet bar.
Pottery teapot on a pottery stand. I wish I had gotten more of these stands, back in the day:)
 Right side vignette

Next to the stove is a lidded pot and a candle which is actually an orchid pot. I don't have any orchids at the moment:(

My utensils are in this pottery utensil holder. Next to that is a large pitcher.

 Pretty details on the pitcher.
I put some different faux grasses and a faux primrose in this pot/planter.
I like to have a candle burning during the day, especially when it is freezing outside.

This pot is pretty old too but I love the leaf design on it and decided to add some dried flowers and place it here.
Everything is simple and uncluttered for winter.
Top of the fridge: not pottery but more above the cabinets:
 here,
 and here.
This large pot LOOKS like pottery but is actually paper mache! It is light as a feather.

Thanks so much for visiting me. Hope you had a wonderful Valentine's weekend!!! We switched things up this year. Had some friends over on Fri. night then went to brunch on Sun. instead of dinner out on Sat. We both really enjoyed it.
XO, Pinky
