A Transitional Coffee Table Vignette

At this time of year, I try to prepare for decorating for Fall by preparing some surfaces for the transition. I put all the shell décor away (I got that done the other day). So, I couldn't just leave the coffee table empty, so decided to do a little vignette. I did something very different to get me over the hump  til I decorate for Fall. Which will probably be next week.:):) So, here is what I came up with, shopping the house.
I wanted something live, some great texture, and something unexpected.

This  monkey candle holder is the unexpected piece. It is also a favorite of mine.
For lots of texture I gathered a feather ball, a wooden ball with an animal print, an antler shed and a turtle shell.
Everything is gathered in this great basket tray.
Early evening I lit the candle, and actually caught some of the early blue hour.

The twig ball is another bit of texture.

Thanks for your visit. Soon, the weather is supposed to cool off a bit. We just got through our 6th heat wave:( I am looking forward to the 80's!

Have you started to decorate for Fall yet?
XO, Pinky

  3. Not me -- but this is Fall done right! That monkey is too cool with the giraffe candle. (My husband would love that!) This is so much more elegant than a lot of what I see. Nice job.

  4. Pinky,
Love your transitioning into Autumn trayscape, dear friend!
Love all the textures and the green plants!
Yes! I'm nearing the final stages of Autumn decor!
While vacationing in Tulsa this year, I saw a unique design
using a tortoise shell. I'm having "Mr. Ed" attempt the "look" for me!
As soon as he finishes. . .I'll share!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  6. I love your vignette on the coffee table Pinky and seeing your room in the early evening. I try to not start the fall decorating until mid September but I admit I've been thinking about it a lot. It is a transitional period with late summer and not quite being fall isn't it!
