Spring Refresh in the Kitchen

I have kept the Spring refresh rather simple this year. I few bunnies, but not too much as we do cook everyday. So I need to keep it functional as well as pretty! One of the best things I like to do in the Spring is bring in some flowers and plants! I found these 2 African violets at the grocery store. I chose them because I loved the color and the ruffled edges on the violets!
The white petals rimmed with green are beautiful to me. The little pale blue pots match my utensil holder perfectly. Later, in the summer I will repot them.

I made this arrangement many years ago. Just different types of greens and grasses and the sweet bunnies burrowed in there.
I found this beautiful blue and white bowl for a song so got it for our fruit. My blue bunny wishes I would put some lettuce in there:)
MANY years ago I bought this Bunny planter for my Aunt Bunny with whom we lived. She was like another Mother to me, I adored her. It is probably over 50 years old by now, so I treasure it. Hard to believe it has survived so many moves. I placed a tiny ivy in it for now.

My little bunny in his hutch.
I found these faux chocolate bunnies at K Mart several years ago, 3 sizes and I got all 3. I am so glad I did, as I never saw them again.
Here is another one along with a faux chocolate bowl and eggs.

Over on the buffet area I placed my script bunnies.
And my 2 little sheep, bunny bowl and chick plate round out the vignette.
Isn't she cute in her Easter bonnet?

On top of the fridge is a large stone LOOKING bunny, he is actually light as a feather.
2 pretty tea towels are always on the oven door.

Thanks so much for your visit!

Bunnies for Spring in the Breakfast Room!

Good morning my friends! I am taking you through each room that I have decorated for Spring, one room at a time. I love decorating the hutch in the breakfast room that Joe made me. This cement like bunny is new this year and I love him on my cement stand!
I love my hutch in here. I have thought about painting it but haven't gone through with that idea. For one thing Joe would hate it.
I don't usually get a shot from this angle so decided to do that today.
I took the demijohn down and put a new arrangement into this green jar to lighten things up for Spring.
I like to weave garlands through the shelves too.

These Hummel bunnies were my MIL's and I love having them now.
My girlfriend, Jackie made this bunny for me years ago. Thanks again, Jackie!

These 2 cuties sit on the top shelf.

This guy reminds me of Mr. McGregor's garden.
I used 2 garlands on the top of the hutch too.

Over by the windows I have a few more bunnies.

Thanks so much for your visit! I appreciate each of you.

Simple Changes on the Table

Last week I got all my bunnies out! I just couldn't wait any longer. I have a "thing" for bunnies and a good collection of them. So, I thought I could change up my table with just a few changes! The tulips were spent and I couldn't find the same color so I got these beautiful alstromerias. They are in the lily family and last a LONG time. They are a florists staple. This is just one bunch and it fills my cut glass vase.

I placed a furry little bunny into the cloche.

And I placed this pastel bunny on a stand and surrounded it with a white berry ring. I took this shot from the back to show the pretty detail
 Isn't she cute?

I also placed 2 tiny, white, ceramic bunnies into the bowls to peek out.
I changed the dinner plate to these beautiful rust colored ones that were purchased at the $ store several years ago. I LOVE the color!
This set of bunnies sit at our place settings. Mr. for the Mister and, I have the Mrs.

 Aren't the flowers so pretty!?

She can't resist sniffing the flowers:)

This is a bright, cheery setting for us. It is now against a background of snow on the ground. But that's OK, we are warm and cozy inside. And longing for SPRING!!!!

Have a beautiful day, my friends and thanks so much for your visit!
