Snowmen in the Breakfast Room!

Good morning! First I have to say I am praying so hard for the people of Tennessee who are experiencing the devastating wild fires. My heart breaks for all those affected.
Now, I thought I would share my breakfast room, filled with my snowman collection. I had more but shared some with my daughter. I am really trying to purge some Christmas décor and make things a little simpler. However, most of these snowmen hold memories. I used to go to many local craft fairs and so many of these are handmade with love. My hutch was also handmade by my hubby, also with love!
The 2 large snowmen on this shelf came from craft fairs so are handmade.
I love my snowman lamp and lantern. Did you notice the snowgirl on the middle shelf with the FUR stole??:)
I especially love the plaid lampshade that came with the lamp.
I made a new bow for the lantern and put some Christmas greens and berries in the demijohn.
A berry garland cascades across the top and down one side.
The 2 plant stands are VERY old now but still work for me in this room. We got them when we built the LAST house which was about 34 years ago!
I sat a little snowman and a snowflake in the basket too!

This guy is on the table. If you missed this tablescape it is my last post if you want to see it.
This wreath is on the back door that leads to the deck.
At night I love the glow from the lamp and lanterns.

The lamp on these shelves was a gift years ago from a great friend. It features a family of snow people:)

So my breakfast room is all decked out for Christmas and beyond. As much as I like snowmen I am not so thrilled with snow:)  I am hoping we don't get too much this year.

Thanks so much for your visit.
XO, Pinky

Our first Christmas Everyday table!!!

Good morning! I hope you all had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving and were surrounded by the ones you love. We sure did. Colleen just turned 4 and she is at a great age now to really enjoy the holidays. So, I started my Christmas decorating Wed. afternoon since we weren't hosting. I have been working non stop since then and am ALMOST done! Anyway, back to the table!!! I always start in the kitchen and breakfast room when I decorate. So, I set us a pretty table. I decided to do a snowman themed table, even though we are supposed to get some MUCH needed rain this week. I love this little guy. I call him my "help I've fallen and can't get up" snowman:)
The snowman S and P and last year I found this toothpick holder at the $ store.
The dinner plate is the Better Homes and Garden brand at Walmart. The snowman plate is many years old and I don't remember where I got it.
There are 4 different snowmen on them:) I used the green flatware against the red placemat.
My white bubble glasses are filled with some Christmas goodies. The holly water  glasses are a new find at the $ store this year!
The holly design matches well with the holly on the border of the plates.

This is a simple but very pretty runner I found at Christmas Tree Shops several years ago.
My snowman pitcher can hold our beverage.
I have this one tiny snowman ornament so added that to the glass too.

This morning Sunday) when I took these photos it was bright and sunny so I took advantage of that since we will be getting 3 days of rain.
I love these fun napkin rings, I THINK I found them at Cracker Barrel one year.
I gathered 2 napkins; a white one with a snowflake on it and the holly edged one.

I sat the snowman on an oval shaped ring and embellished it with some snowball picks, snowflakes and red berry picks.

When the sun sets we can light the snowball candles. I love the reflection of the tree in the windows.

We also put candles in all the windows at Christmas.

I will share the rest of the room soon.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I know how busy we all are at this time of year. Have a most beautiful day!!!!

I Am Thankful For......

I set a Thanksgiving table even though we will be at our daughters.  I like to keep the dining room table set so that it looks pretty. It is the first room you see when you come in the house. I have had the turkey place card holders for several years. The "Thankful" cards were a free print out from my friend Yvonne, at Stone Gable.
The turkey dishes are so pretty. I forget where I found them, several years ago.
This runner has pumpkins and turkeys on it.
I added to a simple berry garland with hydrangeas, twine pumpkins, feathers, etc.
Mr. Tom turkey stands proudly on a ceramic base.
I added some indian corn also.

Simple plaid place mats, leaf chargers, an orange scalloped plate and the turkey plate make up my stack.

The leaf wine glasses make another appearance along with amber water goblets.
Pumpkin candle holders also keep the table simple and casual.
The turkey embroidered napkins came from Home Goods several years ago.

Thanks for your visit. Will you be cooking this year? I will be helping and making the potatoes and gravy. I LOVE Thanksgiving dinner...just don't love what it does to my waistline:)
