~~~On the Menu Monday~~~

HI everyone! Tonight I wanted to share a great recipe with you and I will be sharing it over at Yvoone's party On the Menu Monday. Just click on the button on the left side of my blog to go to her party and see LOTS of great recipes!!! Hope you like this. We usually serve it with a pork roast. It is YUMMY!!!!! Turbo Dog Braised Cabbage

Ingredients

1/2 pound bacon, chopped
2 cups thinly sliced onions
Freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup Creole mustard
1/2 head white cabbage, shredded (about 1 1/2 pounds)
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
1 Turbo Dog Beer , or any beer you have!
1/4 cup heavy cream

Directions

In a large saucepan, over medium heat, render the bacon until
crispy. Add the onions. Season with pepper. Saute until the onions are soft, about 4 minutes. Add the mustard
and cabbage. Season with salt and pepper. Saute for 3 minutes. Add the garlic, and beer, cover and cook for 20
minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the cream, stir to mix and cook, covered for 10 minutes. Serve warm.

  5. Pinky, You know I love cabbage and this looks just fabulous! I can imagine all those lovely flavors marrying together for such a great savory dish!
    I looked at your prep time, cooking time etc and it said "0".... so at first I thought your recipe was a little joke! But once I started reading the ingredients I knew that this was seriously good!
    Please pray for me, I have a big back procedure tomorrow!
