~~A Winter Kitchen Table~~~

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, it is COLD here in Pa.!!! 17 degrees when we woke up this morning! Winter is definitely here! I do NOT like cold so when winter shows up I dream of warm climates, palm trees and sunny skies. So, I surround myself with those elements! Palm tree dishes and accessories are in my kitchen for winter!!!! Here is my table and hutch. I will share the rest of the kitchen tomorrow.
I have a bamboo runner that is black and tan on the table . For a touch of FUN, I added 2 animal print placemats!
I love TEXTURE! It brings such warmth to a space.
We each have a votive candle at out place.
The "centerpiece" which I keep to the side is a rattan tray, a wicker candle holder, a pot of faux succulents, my TIKI  S and P set, And some seed balls.
There is great texture on this pot. I bought it premade because I could never make it for what I got it....$12.99!!!!

Here is the hutch dressed for winter.
I love my monkey candle holders. I found them at Home Goods several years ago.
Love these 2 pots too. They are rough in texture and have wire handles.

I got these 2 plates for 50 cents each!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some close up shots. That is an extension cord up there that is used for a lamp or lantern at different times of year. I couldn't get it out of the shot!
Love this vase too.
These are the salad plates that are part of my palm dishes. I will show you all of them in a tablescape soon.
The breakfast room server. I love how the sun pours in here in the winter!

Thanks for stopping by! I will join in on these parties, please go visit some of them too!!!

it all looks so pretty.. I saw some money fabric the other day and thought how cute it would be as pillows out here in the "jungle room" lol.. thats what the family calls it since I have lots of plants.

  3. It's looking quite tropical at your house, Pinky! I love how you did your table...the tray is so cute and I'd never guess your plants were faux! Your hutch is beautiful, too!

We had a little warm up, it's 42. I haven't a clue how that happened, it's been in the teens for days! Stay warm!

  5. Pinky,
Push some of that cold air my way...it's so balmy here on the Prairie we would be right at home with your gorgeous decor... Palm trees and all the monkeys!!!Today it's already 55 degrees! Last year on this same date...the store where I worked closed due to snow and ice. (?) From one year to another...one never knows what to expect. Lovely post...send me some COOL thoughts!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  8. Wonderful tropical elements to warm up your kitchen Pinky.

We had very cold weather over the weekend and then yesterday the temp was near 70. That is the way it has been in the STL area, all winter! Up and down weather.

  10. Pinky~ Everything looks so warm & tropical with your decorative elements and the sunlight pouring in the windows despite the temperature outside! We've had a relatively mild winter with only a few nights down in the twenties.

  13. I have to say that we have had a rather mild winter here. The other day the kids were out on the trampoline. I ran out onto the patio barefoot and in a tank top to tell them to put on their coats.

The tablescape is just perfect for a winter escape. Love how the sun cooperated with you. The light adds just the right amount of sparkle. Good job!

  14. Pinky - I am so wanting my toes in the (hot!) sand now! Your salt & pepper shakers so reminded me of the movie "Night at the Museum" - don't know the exact quote, but I sure wants some gum now.
