~~~Goodbye My House.....~~~
 Hi all and THANK YOU for hanging in there and waiting for me! It has been CAAAA RAZY moving. After being in the old house for 28 years, we sure accumulated alot of STUFF! I know I will have to get rid of alot but have to live HERE for awhile and see what we use and don't use. I thought I would share some pictures of the old house....EMPTY! It looks SO strange to me. This first picture is the dining room. The picture below is the living room. Yvonne, the sofa you love is now HERE and looks right at home:):)
 I always LOVED this fireplace and decorating that mantle.
 This is the foyer, taken from the kitchen
 This was my office/guest room.
 and the bathroom off of that.
 This was the "Africa room". Now our bonus room is being fitted with alot of the items that were in here.
 The "bridge" upstairs. I used to sit up there, when we first moved in and read....
 The master bedroom.The drapes are a dark green, not blue as they appear. I did get the plants down:)
 Here is a TINY sneak peek at the new house. This was before the furniture got here. It looks better right now but not everything is in place so it will be a few days til I can really share. I do want to say how much I LOOOOOVE this new house! Quite a different space but we will make it HOME!!!!  Please be patient and I will post as soon as I can! XO, Pinky
  2. Pinky, isn't it funny to see your home with its "soul" removed? Each time we've moved, when everything is packed up, that's when I feel the home is no longer ours. Then, I REALLY get excited about the new place. I am sure you will have the new place all decorated in no time!
  11. Hi Pinky-
    Well this great to see but also a bit sad to see. Even though I've never been there I felt as though I had. I've been in and out of your house since the Rate My Space days! I remember talking to you about the mantel Joe had just redone. The bamboo was hard to stain. I envy your ability to move from one nice home to another! What a great retirement home you have. You are going to love it and all the conveniences that come along with it. Can't wait to see more pictures as you progress! Hugs,Liz
  12. I am so excited about your new house and it looks wonderful!!! There is something always so sad about leaving a home. I can't even imagine after 28 years there! I always make everyone wander from room to room and tell a memory. Then I cry and we have to go! You will be all settled in your sweet new digs soon! I can't wait to see!
  22. I remember how sad it was to leave one of our homes in which our son practically grew up in...On the day we left that home, our son came home from college to say "goodbye" to the house....I never realized how much it meant to him...he said it was full of great childhood memories...I was so blown away....I know it was great to have sold it, but also sad to leave a home full of beautiful memories!!....
