A Green, Black and White table for Dinner Group

I posted this table this time last year and since we are so busy with preparations for Joe's hip replacement surgery, I decided to repost it. I haven't had time to do any new posts altely! I hope you enjoy this table, I LOVE this combination of black and white with green. It is definitely one of my favorites!!!! So here is the post as it appeared l;ast year!
We hosted our dinner group on Sat. night. I made a fresh arrangement for our centerpiece and set the table with one of my favorite color combos.I didn't use a tablecloth, preferring to see the beautiful wood of the table and have a liighter sense for summer. I placed a green and white placemat, then a round black and white placemat, a square white dish, a green dinner plate and a black and white scrolled dessert plate for my stack.
My black handled flateware was perfect.
I gathered some EARLY limelight hydrangeas, fresh grapes, limes, apples and lettuce.

A couple of pears were also added.

We were missing one couple but had a fun night.
We ate our hors d'oevres out on the patio then came in for dinner.

I hadn't made a fresh arrangement in quite awhile but while at the gracery store had a light bulb moment:)

Wish you all could have been here, it was a lovely night.

  3. Oh well, I wanted to say your table was awesome too, like Linda... now, I'll say it's fabulous!
You have inspired me as I too have a black and white china, but I adore the green addition to soften the entire setting with the placemats and the gorgeous centerpiece, Pinky. The flatware is perfect!

  12. Well, thank goodness for your "light bulb moment"! All's well that ends well, and this was terrific from start to finish! I love the color and texture of those limelight hydrangeas! You did a fantastic job on that centerpiece!!!

The design on your top plates is top drawer!!! Very swank! It works really well with the napkins and placemats. The whole color combination is really neat!

I'm sorry the one couple missed out on this because they would have really enjoyed it! So glad all the others were able to be there to take it all in!

  14. What a beautiful table!! I LOVE your color combination! This shade of green is my absolute favorite and it looks extra stunning next to black and white. There is not one detail that you could change to make this table more attractive: your centerpiece, dish stack, flatware: everything sings, "Welcome to my lovely home and table!" Bravo! And thanks for sharing. Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
