I added a shell to the ivy here.
When you look to the left you see this little vignette.
Some shells in a glass dish
To the right is the dining room.
My LARGE, faux shell holds LOTS of my shells, some coral etc.
2 large shells flank the centerpiece
Shell and driftwood candle holders that I love. I found them at Home Goods 2 years ago.
shell pillows on the 2 arm chairs
This is the credenza as you walk towards the living room, kitchen and breakfast room.
another large shell and a seafan
and some starfish on the buckets of my fisherman
I keep the 2 goldfish here since the real gold fish are in the pond that you can see from the living room.
A summer vignette on the coffee tableOne of my FAVORITE pillows!!!
And my embroidered coral pillow from Kirklands last year.
Now we go into the kitchen, briefly. Not alot of shells in here, more garden themed pieces.
My watering can lamp, also from Kirklands this year.
This is the buffet area of the kitchen
I made this birdhouse several years ago
now we are in the breakfast room
I love this sectional and have had it for over 20 years. I really need to replace it but can't find anything like it:(
The round table in the corner is staying here now. I have had the hibiscus tree in this corner but we decided not to bring it back into the house this fall. It is TOO messy. I may donate it to the clubhouse.
Got this shell in a shop on the way home from our vacation at OBX. (The Outer Banks)
I bought this pedestal bowl in Florida this winter and fill it with lots of textural objects.
I'll share my summer mantle in another post but here is a tiny peek. I will also share some other rooms, this got to be too picture heavy. Please stay tuned for Part 2!!!!
This is way out of order but a glimpse of the bakers rack in the breakfast room.

Everything looks beautiful, Pinky. I enjoyed the tour.
ReplyDeleteI'm using shells in the living room of the apartment. Just about finished with that room.
Wow I am loving your home tour! Especially your kitchen....but I am a sucker for black cabinets! Thanks for sharing it!!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your shells, so pretty. You do have a huge collection and you decorate so beautifully with them.
ReplyDeletePinky, love the shells and the blue & white. I'm having a 50% off sale at my place. Whoopee!
ReplyDeleteI love your summery home with all your beautiful shells!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tour! A few shells here and there was about all I could manage this year due to my recent knee replacement. But really, that's enough, don't you think? You have some really nice ones.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely home Pinky.

ReplyDeleteLovely Pinky. It's so lovely with all of your special touches. The flower arrangements are beautiful. I love sectionals too. There are some beautiful ones on 55 Downing.

ReplyDeletePinky,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tour of your home for Summer, dear friend!!! I am so~o~o thrilled to see that you're able to blog, once again!
I enjoyed seeing all the tones and textures from one shell to the next.
Fondly,

Everything looks so bright & airy! Perfect for summer.
ReplyDeleteI need to give Kirkland's another look! Those pillows are all so fantastic, Pinky! Are those coy fish on the one pillow that's blue & white? That is a really gorgeous pillow!!! And the shells on the others are pretty as a picture!
ReplyDeleteI like what you did with the front entry with the shells & candles with the Oriental jars in back. Very dramatic!
I love your seashell collection! They are one of my favorite decorating elements, too. Nothing says summer like seashells...except maybe sunburn...and ice cream...and flip-flops....and....! :-)
Have a great week, Pinky, and thanks for sharing the tour of your home with us!
I've heard about Kirkland's, but they don't seem to be here in New England. I love seashells, and you have so many and have put them to good use! Very pretty Pinky :)
ReplyDeleteI love all of those gorgeous shells!! I think if I have a beach house if would be chock full of seashells! Enjoy your summer!!
