I STARTED to Decorate the Patio for Fall!

Good morning! The other day it was cloudy but no rain scheduled so I STARTED to decorate the patio for Fall. I say started because I have bought a FEW mums but they are not great, I am waiting til I get to the farmers market to get better ones and PUMPKINS! But here is what we have so far. Stay tuned for updates:) As you get to the top if the steps on the deck, this is what you see.
I have put rocks or bags of sand in my clay pumpkins because the other day the wind blew a ceramic pot of flowers over and it broke in a million pieces:( We have so much wind here it is crazy! Ther pillow came from Christmas tree shops recently. I am so happy to have the patio to decorate!!! This time last year it was just being started!!!!
We recently got the cover for the egress window that you see here in the background. I want to paint it soon so it blends in better with the stone.
The leaf pillows came from Kirklands, I had a birthday coupn and another coupon so got them at a pretty good price:) Oh, Joe has just had the lawn aerated and then he spread 5 yeards of top soil and reseeded so that is what you are seeing:( I thought the lawn looked good but he said there were some low spots and bald spots so he did almost the entire lawn. CRAZY:):)

and so did this smaller pillow. I forget where I found the throw, last year. Joe sits out here almost EVERY night and it is getting a little chilly now so it is for him:)

I have to replace the mat at the base of the steps. this one is worn out.
The barrel you see behind the glider is a rain barrel, to fill the pond when water evaporates. We can't use house water since it has chlorine in it.

I tried this pillow in front but like it better just peeking from behind.
Have always loved this button pillow, love this color! Will be painting some WALLS this color, and soon I hope!

  1. Love your patio. I so wish our patios were done. Hopefully by Christmas.

The colors are beautiful. Might I ask what the large green plant is in the big pot?

  6. Pinky,
    Gorgeous Patio, dear friend!!!
I love, LOVE, L O V E the cream hued pillow with the single oak leaf!!!
We have tried several years with mums, but this year I'm wanting something with longer life. Every mum we've planted has died these past two years.
Thanks for sharing your lovely patio with us!!!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  8. Isn't it fun to get the fall stuff out! The pillows look great- especially on that neat garden bench. The mums look beautiful- I wish I could buy dozens of them just to enjoy all the color choices there are. Use that rain water too for your plants in the planters- they'll love it! I should get one of my own. There are lots of good minerals in rain water that the plants love.
