A Snowy Winter Table

I CLEANED out and organized my dish room yesterday so decided to do a new table. It took me, literally, all day to accomplish thisckleaning and organizing task. It was OUT OF CONTROL, truly. You could barely walk in there, I am embarrassed to say! So, these shots were taken at night since I didn't get it done till after dark. It is a very casual table for breakfast or lunch. I love the pale green on these snowman dishes. So I added some green to the table with the votive holders too.

The little skate utensil holders were brought in too.
I found these cute S and P at Kirklands after Christmas for 75% off. Paid $1.50 and love that they have the little dish!

I placed the snowflake napkins into the snowflake glasses.

My skating Frosty is my centerpiece now. I surrounded him with greens, berries and snowflakes.

The light green flatware works well with the salad plates.

It is a nasty, cold, rainy night but the candle light casts a warm glow.

Thanks for your visit and welcome 2015!!! I am partying here:

  2. Oh, I don't have a dish room, but my cupboards and other dish storage areas need to be cleaned out, edited, and organized. Definitely on my priority list for 2015.
Your snowy table is delightful and is giving me inspiration to set one here. It's time the snow people came out to play. '-)

  10. I love your red and white wintry snowman tablescape, having breakfast with your delightful snowman must leave you smiling all day. I set the kitchen table in blue and white with blue snowflake plates and snowflake glasses this morning for breakfast. I think you have inspired me to add some snowmen and take some pictures to post this week.

I don't think I could walk in my dish room right now either. I use the extra bedroom to store dishes and some of the holiday decor. I also use the guest bedroom closet for boxes of holiday decor and my walk in closet has a dozen or so boxes of wine glasses. The task of purging and cleaning is quite daunting. I also keep my orchid plants on a table in the dish storage room during the holidays. It has the best Eastern window upstairs but the plants really add to the clutter. I am so dreading going through all of those boxes of holiday decor.
