~~~To Be, or Not to Be~~~
I have been thinking lately about growing older, and how attitude affects EVERYTHING we do. The choices we make and the way we live.  I see alot of negativity; on TV, on social media, in the news etc. So, it got me thinking and I made a list of what and how I want to BE. And how I do not want to be. I want to BE:
Loving
forgiving
generous
happy
positive
thoughtful
serene
fun loving
empathetic
creative
strong
reliable
a good friend
supportive
encouraging
joyful
nurturing
respectful
gentle
humble
a good listener
accountable
compassionate
hopeful
spiritual
knowledgeable
accepting
 I could go on but I also want to say I do not want to be ANY of the opposites of these. Some things I need to work on. And I will continue to do that.  I have found that as I get older, I feel a LITTLE wiser and focused on how I want to give back to the world. I don't know what exactly prompted this post. I will let you know how I do on getting better at some of these things on my list:)
Thanks for the love and support I feel from all of you. Have a beautiful day.
XO, Pinky
This is an old picture but the only one I could find of just me. This was my daughters wedding day and one of the happiest days of my life.
  3. What a wonderful post. I agree with everything. And, yes, I do pop back to look at your replies when I view your next post! The thought of starting a blog seems wonderful to me, but at the same time I am as computer un-savy as can be. I'm going to talk to my son about it when he comes home from college. Maybe he'll help!
    1. That would be GREAT! I, too, am VERY computer unsavvy so that is why I have a little, tiny blog. Someone else set it up for me and keeps me current. Her name is Linda and you can reach her from my sidebar. She is great!!!
  9. That's funny that you are thinking this as you get a little older. I've always told my kids growing up that they can make whatever choices they like but they always need to consider what kind of person they want to be.
    Your list sounds pretty good to me. If we all strove to be like that life would good eh! I also think it's important to always try, if we fail we just pick ourselves up, apologise and then keep trying. (and that is a beautiful photo)
  14. I hope that you can continue to focus on being all of those things. It's certainly helpful that you've already thought it through and decided to be mindful of it. I do think as we get older we know more about ourselves and have the patience to make changes that we need to make than when we were younger.
