New Paint in the Breakfast Room

Continuing the tour of what we have painted so far. This room was tough as the peak of the ceiling in here is about 13 or 14 feet high so Joe had to get the extension ladder out! OY! But he did an awesome job. He can cut in by hand on an extension ladder! So, here it is. For those of you who are afraid of darker colors making a room look smaller, here is proof that it isn't true.
I shared the colors in the last post but the rusty color is Valspar (at Lowes) Toffee Glaze.  A lot of these pictures though don't show a true color.
It is eggshell finish. I wanted to be able to wipe the walls down easily. The builders flat white paint was a nightmare!
Just the back wall with the windows and the hutch wall are Toffee glaze. The other 2 walls are Valspar Faint Maple.
The kitchen will be done with the Faint Maple too. Hopefully soon:):)

The matting and frames of the palm pictures blends very well with this color too.

The valance looks SO pretty against this color too.
Thanks for your visit. I love reading your comments and try to respond AND visit you! Have a beautiful weekend!!!! XO, Pinky

  9. You've chosen some of my favorite colors Pinky. Very warm and inviting. Eggshell was a much better choice. I don't know why the original painter would have used flat! That's only good for ceilings. Anyway, enjoy your granddaughter and happy Easter!
