My FIRST Peonies!!!

I have never had peonies before. Yes, that's right. I did have a few peony bushes at the old house but since we were in the woods they never bloomed and finally died out. BUT, now I DO have peonies and am so excited to share them with you!!! Someone described these beautiful blooms as the jewels of the garden. I have to agree!!!
I cut them and placed them in one of my blue and white jars.
 So delicate.

What a joy to see them first thing in the morning.

Here they are outside on the bush.
I plan to add several MORE bushes.
As you may know the blooms are very top heavy so we support them with these rings.

 At night.

Thanks for stopping by! I will also share at these parties:

  10. Peonies are my favorite flower Pinky. I just wish they last longer. We had dinner at a friends last week and she had a single bloom in a vase that was bigger than a dinner plate! I'm not kidding. It looked like a crepe paper flower. Remember those?

I accidentally threw away a peony bush this week.

    Don't ask. :/
