My LOVE for Blue and White, let's look around

First I want to say I hope you all had a love filled Valentines day! As many of you know, I started collecting blue and white pieces over 30 years ago when we built our last house. I just fell in love with the look so decided I would like to have it in my home. I now have quite a collection and wanted to put it all (well most) in a post. I hope you enjoy. This room has become my favorite since we built this house. Hard to believe it was 4 years in Oct, since we moved in!
The credenza has one jar and next to it I have my garden stool, a large jar on a wooden stand, and a favorite Asian guy.
I keep several pieces in the curio cabinet along with several Hummel pieces. The very large jar was a gift from my son!
The large fishbowl that holds the tree was from our best friends for Christmas many years ago. The tree was made by Joe's brother. I remember the day we all were in our basement and he made it right there for us!
The handled pot is one of my favorites. It holds a faux fern when I don't have a live plant for it.
The tall vase with the handles was a gift from my in-laws.
Some more jars are grouped together next to the elephant from Vietnam.
The tiered stand hold 2 more jars. I change what is on here for the seasons. Soon it will hold some bunnies:)

My Christmas cactus sits here by the window. It actually blooms at Thanksgiving and Easter!
Can you see the buds forming? We should have blooms for Easter:)
2 vases sit on top of the curio cabinet.

I shared this coffee table vignette in my last post.
My jar pillows were a LUCKY find last year. I actually had a store employee climb up on a ladder to get the second one for me:)
This pillow has a very similar design to the pillar candle.
I won this book in a giveaway from Marty at A Stroll Thru Life several years ago.
Tracy gave this to Joe for Fathers day in 2015.. It was in his office but we put it out here when Joe moved the thermostat! The sun streaming in here all day was fooling the heater so Joe moved it. Now it is much better.
I found the bamboo ladder many years ago. Still love it and am glad we have this spot for it.
This table hold several pieces I love. They aren't part of my blue and white collection but are some favorite pieces. The lamp was another gift from our son.
 This little boat is soapstone.

This piece was my in-laws, another treasured piece that we inherited.

I recently got the needle leaf ivy and placed it in the one vase that was my Grandmothers. Another treasured piece.
Thanks for your visit. I am longing for Spring but the weather is not cooperating.
XO, Pinky

  1. Pinky, You have some BEAUTIFUL blue and white pieces. Just gorgeous and I can tell you have been collecting a long time. I am sure every single piece has a story behind it. I gave my blue & white collection to my daughter...sometimes feeling a bit sad that I did that! Hope you have a wonderful day. xo Diana
