Winterizing the Breakfast Room with Texture!

I put all the snowmen away last week. But I got busy taking care of Joe and didn't have a lot of time for blogging. But he is doing well so I am back! I hope you like what I did in here. It feels very warm and cozy to me, perfect for this winter weather we are having. Oh and BTW, we are THRILLED that our Eagles WON the Super Bowl last night!!!!! It was hard for me to keep him calm during that GAME!!!! Most of you know that Joe made me this hutch in the last house. I still love it. Especially in the winter, I think about painting it but haven't so far. I love all the baskets on the walls. I added the large basket on top this year for something new.
I love the demijohns I have collected.
In this picture you see the ivy filled bunny but I changed that out as you will see further down in this post.

This is a fairly recent find. I got it at a local antique store.
I got this lamp at Walmart several years ago. It is wood and came with the burlap shade which I love.

I like to soften the line of the hutch with a garland and change them out for the seasons.

I took some shots at night too. And I added these large candle holders with their turned wood bases.
2 burlap pillows are om the end chairs.

The 2 shelf units got a make over too.
The windows in here face south so get sun all day so it is a great spot for plants.
Some more of my baskets are above the windows.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
XO, Pinky

  1. I love this room.
The warm, terra cotta color, the beadboard back of the hutch, and the texture of the baskets. Perfect. I smile whenever I see you post from here. :)

  2. This is my kind of fun. I love that hutch and the fact that Joe made it for you makes it such a treasure. I like the new look and the textures you've put together. It seems like winter encourages to fuss more indoors doesn't it. So glad to know Joe is doing so well after this open heart surgery. That was a great football game right to the last minute!
