Winter Breakfast Room 2019

Good morning! It certainly has been winter here the last few days! Temps in the single digits and low teens and wind chills below zero! BRRRR!!!! Today it went up to 48 and it felt like a heat wave:):)  After the Christmas snowmen were put away I wanted to decorate for winter with lots of texture and also throw in some tropical touches, in preparation of us going SOUTH for Feb.!!!! I can't wait! So have a seat and I'll bring you some coffee! For those of you who are new here, my hubby built me this hutch for the last house. It is like an Amish hutch that we saw and he did it the same way. You can not see any nails or screws. I love it and love it in this house too.
More of my baskets are around the hutch.

On the top of the hutch I am using my black lantern, a faux plant and another large basket. I like to drape a garland across here too.
On the shelves I have my demijohns, some pottery and 2 palm tree plates.
In the 2 corners of the room, by the windows are these 2 shelf units that are actually plant stands. They are about 35 years old now.

I placed some small pine cones in a tiny urn and under a cloche.
On the tan wall are a basket, a metal leaf piece and a pottery piece.
More baskets are on this wall too.
Joe got these prints at a craft show and I had them framed for him....after he chose what he wanted:)

I remembered that I had this palm tree lamp so brought it out for on the hutch.
I found it at Walmart, years ago.
 Here are some nighttime shots.

Joe built this table too. He made 2 for the last house and I like this here.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Stay warm, where ever you are!
                                            XO, Pinky

    1. Yes, I am lucky! We don't have any snow now, it is all melted and gone. We have RAIN! Tons of it. Netter than snow:)
