An Evening Fall Tour

Good morning!!! I thought that since it is getting dark earlier every day (which I hate by the way), I would give you a little tour in the evening. It IS such a pretty time.  PLEASE, come on in! We will start at the front door. The candles are lit at dusk and the lamps are all on timers.
The credenza is lit and the lamp on top.
These are a little out of order: when you walk in, this area is just to the left.

This picture used to be on our fireplace at the old house. I love it here in the dining room now.
 My fall dining room table.
 Silver, gold and black.

Now we are entering the living room.
My hubby made the wood valances and trimmed them with bamboo molding.
This sectional is ober 30 years old. It has held up well!!
The elephant lamps came from India.
I realized I haven't shared this screen much. It was my in-laws and I have always LOVED it!
 My chair and curio cabinet.
The curio houses more blue and white pieces and my Hummels.

Now we'll go into the breakfast room/morning room. Joe made me this hutch years ago. It is always dressed for each season.

I got this valance at our community garage sale the second year we were here. It is PERFECT for this room. There are bamboo matchstick blinds behind the valance. I had them pulled all the way up for the summer and will put them half way down now.

Turn around and you enter the kitchen.
Now we'll go into the kitchen.

I always keep a lamp here and some seasonal items.
 I love this topiary.

Thanks so much for your visit. Please let me know you were here!

Something New in the Foyer

I drove up to Lancaster county on Monday for a few hours. I stopped into Ross to see if they had another blue and white planter. They did. But then I spied something I could not pass up. Well, actually 2 of them! Do you see them?
I saw one of these cranes and wished they had 2. I thought I would use them on the hearth . Then in another aisle I found the second one! Into my cart they went. They were a great price, and I love the brass look.
I also like them here as you enter the house.

So, I then decided the credenza needed a little update for Spring. But I wanted to do something simple. I had these 2 orchids in my storage and had gotten the bottle with the bird last year. I placed that on a brass candle stick.

On the other side I keep this palm lamp here, and added one of my favorite Asian jars. It is metal too. then a simple pottery dish on an iron stand with potpourri. I am loving all the different textures. Did you notice the pottery switch plate?

One of my favorite Asian figures sits in the center.

 Simple, clean lines for Spring.

Thanks for your visit. I wish you a day filled with sunshine. I THINK Spring is actually here! I am a happy girl.

Continuing the Tour, the Foyer

Good morning! As you are seeing this, I am on my way to the BEACH! This is an annual tradition that a group of us girls do, and this is our 43rd year!!!!!!!!!! We started as a Mom's get away weekend when our kids went back to school. It has evolved to a 4 or 5 days get away and now our kids have kids:) We were all neighbors but none of us live in that neighborhood anymore. One girl is even flying up from Florida to be with us! So anyway, back to the tour. I will share the stairway and the credenza today. As many of you know, I always keep some of my blue and white jars on the stairs. And I always have these LED candles which I turn on at night.
This year I found these blue velvet pumpkins and fell in LOVE!!!!
The cream colored, cut out pumpkin came from Kirklands several years ago.
I kept the blue candle rings rather than the orange pumpkin ones that I usually use in the Fall. I love the life like stems on these pumpkins too!

Now I will show you the credenza dressed for Fall. This sparkly pumpkin was found at Home Goods years ago. I placed it on a cake stand and surrounded it with a large candle ring.
My 2 leopard candlesticks have pumpkins perched on them too.
An amber, glass pumpkin is perched on a brass candle stick on this end and a sparkly pumpkin sits here too. This palm tree lamp is a favorite and has been here for awhile now.
A leopard glass pumpkin is on this end.
I wove a pumpkin and berry garland through the vignette.
Now, let's turn on the lights.

My large jar that sits here got a candle ring too.

Thanks for your visit! I hope you have a great week!
XO, Pinky
