~~~Front Porch, Copper Pot Growing~~~~

 I know I have been somewhat MIA and I apologize but boy, have we been BUSY! We had somewhere to go Friday, Sat. and Sunday! This morning I had a breakfast to go to also! But, I am NOT complaining, I love being busy. It is just that my poor little blog suffers. But I thank you all for hanging in there with me!!! I thought I would show you how nicely the copper pot on the front porch is growing! This is how it started out:)

 I planted 2 coleus, 1 caladium and an anthurium that was a house plant into the pot.

 I love the colors of the coleus and the caladium.

 This is how it looks now!!!! I added some curly sticks for some height and pizazz:)

 Things are growing well!

 I miss my old porch but am getting used to this tiny space. We are getting our deck and patio done SOON, hopefully it will be started next week so I am over the moon about that! I will have LOTS of space for pots and plants.

THE SCOOP

~~~ Mother Nature has left her Calling Card!!!!~~~

I went out front a little while ago and this is what I found in the driveway. This Large branch fell out of one of the trees during the storms yesterday, I guess. We got home late and didn't see it.

It is a big one but not the biggest I found today!

 The leaves are starting to FALL already! It will soon be "that timne of year" when we spend days and weeks blowing, raking and hauling LEAVES!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE that job!!!!

 So, I got my blower out and cleaned up the porch and the part of the driveway that I can reach.

My hubby was out back cutting back the once beautiful cardinal flowers, that the hummingbirds love, since they, too got beat down during these storms of the past few days:( I got some shots before he cut them back.

It's such a shame cause they were so pretty all stading up tall! But they are about done blooming so I guess it is time.

 These had been standing up tall against the lattice.

Then I saw a HUGE branch that had fallen.....

It is through this bush.....

The nuts from the birch trees are falling all over!!!! There are thousands of them. When we drive into the driveway it sounds like fireworks:):)

Look at them all! This is just a small spot of them!

 I thought I would get some shots of some PRETTINESS too. Is that a word???? I hope so! The begonias in the mailbox are doing fine.

 The flowers on the hostas all need to be cut back now too.

 The hydrangeas are turning a beautiful color now!!! I love them in Fall arrangements!

This is Mother Nature at her BEST!!!

I love the 2 lanterns that greet you as you approach the front door.

 We light them at night when we sit out on the front porch.

 Red and orange impatiens. I plant those colors so they will still look pretty with my Fall decorations.....that will be out here pretty soon!!!!!

~~~A Beautiful day to PLANT FLOWERS!!!!~~~

Today was a GORGEOUS day! It got up to 80 degrees! SOOOO, I went and bought and planted some pansies. Mr. S. had to get my big copper pots out for me so I could get started. I will have several MORE pots on the front porch and back deck when it REALLY gets to warm weather. For now, these pansies will tide me over!!!!!A view of the porch, decorated for Spring/Easter.

 Isn't this one so pretty, with it's variegated colors?!

 This one is the prettiest blue, sorry I moved:(

 Beautiful red, and I moved again. Sorry, but didn't want to delete this so you could see the color!

 I bought my spikes and they will stay there when I take out the pansies and replace them with impatiens.

 Lenten rose.

 Yellow lenten rose.

 Hyacinths are almost full bloomed.

 This is part of where the crane messed up the driveway. Thankfully the hostas weren't up far enough to be too damaged!

 Daffodils!

 Forsythia!

 Hydrangeas are leafing out!!!!! I can't wait for hydrangeas, one of my favorites!

 A wild flower. I don't know what it is but it comes up each Spring. Anybody know?

 My small bunny flag at the mailbox.

 Day lilies. They come up each year but haven't bloomed in several years.......they are old!

 We got the net off of the pond! So I started raking up the leaves that had blown all around it!

 The fish have ended their hybernation and are starting to swim around again!!!!

 In the midst of raking..... I uncovered the stepping stones.

 This area has hostas too. I also plant some annuals there.

 "Pirus Japonica" is BLOOMING!!! And it smells so pretty. the BEES love it!

 One of the 4 japanese Maples. They are all starting to leaf out too! Life renews again.
