Simple Changes Make a Summer Mantle!

I have been "summarizing" the house with my large collection of shells! I have placed them all around the house and will share everything a little at a time. Let's start with the mantle. I made it very easy on myself by just replacing the birds and nests that were here for Spring, with some pretty shells. I have been collecting shells for ever! I love the light, bright look of the blues and whites with the shells! The green branches and the blue berry branches are so organic with the shells.

I love this against the stone of the fireplace.
This molded piece is a favorite.
I have had this sea fan for years and attached my little sea horse and teeny star fish to it!
I am enjoying the mantle and will keep it like this all through summer.

How are you "summarizing" your house this year? I hope you all had a wonderful, safe and fun holiday weekend. We sure did; we were out Fri. night, Sat. night and Sun. night! Fun times!!!

A Summer Barscape

We just got home from OBX yesterday, so today, after unpacking, I decided to continue "summarizing" the house! I thought I would change the vignette on the bar from Spring to Summer! It all started with this runner that I found last year and haven't used yet. I loved it because of the colors, not all pastels but more MY colors:)
I am still corralling things in this basket that I love. I got this starfish MANY years ago.
I put some of my tiny shells at the base of this hurricane, and included this teeny seahorse.
 Matching shells to the runner.

I broke this shell several years ago but just couldn't part with it. Hope to find a replacement one day....

I found this one in a shop last year. It is man made and not real, I do believe.
I added the large sea fan on a stand.
The starfish votive holders and several years old too.
Placed the hurricane on a stand to raise it up so we could see it better. I love the added texture the rattan base provides.
Tiny starfish on the top of the candle

My son, Brian brought this plant to the beach for us to enjoy and said I could keep it. It is perfect!!!!

Thanks for stopping by. I missed you all last week!!! XO, Pinky
