Some Winter Changes in the Master Bedroom

Good morning! I hope you are all trying to stay warm. I can not imagine the cold that is gripping the midwest!! Dangerous! We are getting colder each day this week and on Thursday our HIGH is to be 17! But, fortunately Joe and I are leaving Thursday morning for sunny and I hope warm, Florida! I am going to try to post while we are away so stay tuned:) Today I thought I would show you around the master, dressed for Winter.
The bedding is basically the same, just a change of pillows after Christmas.
I also got this faux fur throw for Christmas and love it with the bedding. It is so soft and comfy too.

One of my favorite Asian ladies is on my nightstand along with Colleen's school picture, this year.

A little sparkle is always nice too!

I painted this round sifter basket, black, years ago.
The tray table at the foot of the bed has an orchid, an elephant and the twig ball in a cement vase.
In the afternoon the sun comes in the windows and makes beautiful shadows.

At night I love the glow of the lamps.

Most of you know that we have had this bedroom furniture for probably 40 years now! I still like it though as I have never seen any like it since.

Thanks for stopping by. I will be busy packing a LOT of stuff since we are going for a full month. So looking forward to seeing friends and family on our trip.

Be Merry!!!! The First Christmas Dining Table

Good morning my friends! I have finished all my decorating so am ready to start sharing all the FA LA LA!!! We will start at the dining room, as that is the first room you see when you enter our home. I set the table and dressed up the room, just for you! Come on in! And please, BE MERRY!
I have not done the garland that I usually do over the hutch, still debating about that. As I mentioned last week, this years theme is "The Year of the Deer", so one of my deer acts as the centerpiece.
 He's a handsome buck:)
I am using my gold flatware and the hand embroidered napkins that were my Mother-in-law's. They are paired with a leopard print napkin. I love a touch of leopard anywhere!
The gold beaded place mat is topped with my gold and black china and the Christmas salad plates.
An ornate tree ornament for each place setting.

The runner has beautifully decorated "NOEL" at each end.
A mix of gold and sparkly trees marches down the center of the runner.

The champane glasses were a gift last year. I LOVE them.
 They are from Pier 1.
I found these beautiful deer pillows at Bog Lots this year! They are perfect!

The matching deer sits on the little server along with some bottle brush trees and some Santas.

I found this blown glass tree at a local antique store last year.
The snowflake runner is so pretty and I wound a gold bead garland through the vignette.

Thanks so much for your visit! I will be posting 3 times a week now so I can share everything! Have a beautiful week, my friends!

A Little Sparkle For Halloween!

I haven't done a Halloween table for this year as we are going to be very busy for Halloween. So, I thought I would share this one again. I hope you like it and have a very HAPPY Halloween!!!!!I bought this runner several months ago because it had the colors of Halloween without screaming Halloween. The silver dots on it are a little sparkly. So I am using a sparkly pumpkin on a stand for my centerpiece. The little wagon is filled with dried hydrangeas, twine pumpkins, and orange and black pumpkins.
The pumpkin S and P rode in on their own little cart!
The place setting consists of a black sparkly place mat, rust colored charger, white dinner plate, black dinner plate, and a fun salad plate. This one features a bat.
The pumpkin votive holders came with the LED tealights!
A Witch's shoe holds the flatware.
A striped and a polka dot pillar candle lights up the night for dinner.

In this shot you can see that I used a black napkin and an orange one, separated by the plates. My place has the black cat plate.
Since we are getting all the rain now it was very hard to get a decent shot so I apologize. This is our table through Halloween.  I hope you all have a fun weekend. We will be going to take Colleen trick or treating, my daughter and I will take her out and the men will stay home to give out the candy:)
