Decking the Halls....and Table!!!

Today I am sharing the very first seasonal table I have done this year. I found these adorable salad plates and just had to have them. I love them! I have been decking the halls and am ALMOST done! Once again I will be on our neighborhood house tour so have to have everything in ship shape:) I will start sharing my decor next week so thought I would show you this table. On Friday, Joe and I will celebrate our 50th (!!!!) anniversary! It is so hard to believe it is 50 years! We were just kids, literally when we said I do but we have had a wonderful ride TOGETHER! Ups and downs of course, as that is what life brings but we always face them together. He makes me laugh EVERY day so that is a very good thing. Sorry, now to the table.
I am using my favorite winter tablecloth as the base. A runner is at the back of the table to hold the centerpiece and some candles. A snowfkae placemat, red dinner plate and my salad plate.
I found this snowman flatware at CTS and did a happy dance! I just love it!  The snowmen and snow flakes are so cute! It is now our everyday flatware for winter!
These snowman glasses came from Dollar Tree last year.
And my red bubble glasses are another staple in the winter.
Snowball votive holders are surrounded by red berry candle rings.
My snowman is the star of the table.
He sits (well fell) onto an oblong greens piece that I embellished with some snowflakes and pine cones and snowy picks. This LED snowball is one of a set of 3 that I got on clearance last year. I have to change the batteries in the other 2.
 Isn't he cute?
 Snowman S and P.

Details of the runner, with snowflakes.

I gathered 2 snowflake napkins in 2 rings. A metal snowflake and a greens and berry ring!

Can you see the reflection of the tree in the window? I also caught the "blue hour"!!

We are enjoying this table and enjoying some comfort food at dinner. Joe makes wonderful chili and I will share the recipe if you would like it.
Thanks for your visit. We are going away Fri. and staying in the hotel where we went for our honeymoon. Then on Sat. we come back for Colleen's 5th birthday party!!! She is growing up way to fast for this Gigi:)

Pumpkins for a late Fall Table

I set a new, late Fall table. It features lots of pumpkins; on the runner, in the centerpiece, on the plates etc.  My favorite though are these teeny pumpkins on the chair napkin rings! I love these napkin rings and look for little things to place on them for different tables. I first saw them on our dear fellow bloggers site, Pat from Back Porch Musings. I think of her every time I use them. I miss her a lot. What a classy lady she was!!!
The runner has a little sparkle and the ceramic pumpkins look so pretty against it.
I like to place a little something under the pumpkins. Just a little fluff elevates them and gives them an "Oomph" factor:)
I made this centerpiece several years ago and it usually is in the kitchen. I placed it on a wood slice for some added texture.
The S and P are a pumpkin and an acorn in a wire basket.
My pumpkin plates that came from Walmart, this year.
The burlap covered pumpkins go with the burlap chargers and napkins.
Amber bubble goblets for our beverages.

I used my tan bamboo flatware for this table.
 Some details of the centerpiece.
I gathered an orange and a burlap type material napkin together.

 Some nighttime shots.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I am dying to start Christmas but am using restraint:) Plus I am having guests for a breakfast on the 21st so will start on the 22nd:)

A Frightfully UNscary Table for Halloween

I decided to set a table for Halloween but no scary things for this table:) I brought out this black and orange runner and placemats for the base. Then it was easy to go from there.
I placed one orange pumpkin on a pedestal surrounded by a candle ring and leaned the other against it.
I am reusing these pumpkin salad plates and green flatware.
I gathered a black and an orange napkin in my pumpkin and berry rings.
The runner and placemats feature pumpkins and leaves on a black background.
I used black tapers in pumpkin candle holders.

Looking into the dining room in the daylight.
Cute little votive holders at each place.
Pumpkin S and P in a black wagon.

Night time is settling in, let's light the candles!
The LED candles give off an orange glow.

You can't really tell but I have orange bulbs in all the window candle holders for Fall:)

Thanks for stopping by. Do you set a Halloween table? Have a beautiful day wherever you are.
