Moving and Shaking Things up for Spring

When I decided to do a little refresh in the master for Spring, I decided to shake things up a bit. So, I moved some things, got rid of some things and just generally lightened things up for Spring. I like the results! Let's start here: I used to have a table here at the foot of the bed, that has been moved over to the sitting area as you will see further down.

 I replaced it with this tray table that was a gift from my son.

 I love the detail on it as I love anything with an Asian theme.

 I am using my green pagoda shaped lantern, a lidded box, and a faux orchid in a pot.

 I am still loving this bedding. The colors are ME!

 I removed the runner on my dresser and replaced some things on my dresser.

 the 2 green lions and the lady figurine are new to this space.

 Joe's dresser got the elephant.

 This is how the sitting area looked for winter. I got rid of the greens and vase on the table. It was old and tired.

 I replaced the pillows with these lighter green ones. The palm and monkey pillow is old but a favorite of mine.

 I also totally redid the things on the end tables

 I bent a hanger and am trying to make my ivy into a topiary. I also added another pagoda shaped lantern here.

 This is the table that had been at the foot of the bed. I brought this lamp in from my office, moved one of the rattan candlesticks here and the monkey candlestick. They are topped with a green ring and a decorative moss ball.

 I love this monkey candle holder so am keeping it.

 

So that's my Spring refresh in the master. When the weather gets nicer and the days get longer I always enjoy lightening things up.

Fall Master Bedroom 2015

Some of you have seen this bedding but I love it and use it for Fall. I can't remember exactly when I got it, probably over 10 years ago but I got it at Walmart! It is perfect for Fall and these are the colors I LOVE! BTW, I can not believe we STILL have these stupid shades in our room. I guess it has been down on the priority list. But we ARE getting plantation shutters SOON!!! Thank you, Lord!!

 You all know I love a touch of leopard in any room!

 I got this pillow at Kirklands several months ago with Fall in mind. It came in several different colors. I love that it adds a touch of bling! A bonus: the pattern matches the comforter so well!

 Right now the brown pillows have been swapped out for rust colored ones and it looks better. I just don't have a picture.

~~~The Master Bedroom Reveal!!!~~~

Welcome!!! Since I will not be taking my Christmas down soon, I thought I would reveal our master, even though it is NOT done!!! I still need new window treatmants and a love seat in the sitting area and some other things but COME ON IN!!!!! I will keep you updated as I get things:) As you come in my dresser is on the left wall and the seating area ahead.

 We just have some pull down shades in here for now. Had to get them right away after moving in, I sure wouldn't want to subject any neighbors to us in "all our glory":):):) LOL!

 I did get some new bedding, very simple and calming. The bedding is taupe and I opted for black accents.

 This is Joe's dresser and the door to our bathroom is there on the left.

 The animal pillows are from the old house and fit in perfectly here!

 Joe installed the TV in the sitting area to swivel so it can be seen from our bed or the sitting room. That is my new dressing table to the right. It needs a little tweaking too, soon.

 All of this will be going. We plan to build a deck out back this spring and this bench will go out there. And the chair will go to the living room when I find a love seat for in here.

 I found this faux fur throw for a STEAL!!! It is SO soft.

 To the right of my dresser is my jewelry armoire.

 I LOOOVE jewelry so it is filled:):)

 I made the arrangemnt on Joe's chest many years ago.

 We have a lighted tray ceiling in here, a feature I love.

 Some os the artwork around the room:

 Joe's Dad got these velvet paintings in Vietnam when he transported troops there. I sure wish he hadn't had to do that job.......

 This was the sun setting out our windown this afternoon.

I am so glad everyone seemed to have a great Christmas. My siter and son have both left and the house is quiet again:)  I wish you all a very happy, healthy and blessed new year. Thanks so much for your visit. XO, Pinky
