Things are Blooming Around Here!!!

I have been so busy this week that I haven't gotten a chance to put a post together for today. So, I took some snaps of things around the garden. I didn't get everything, just some pots and things but hope you enjoy. I know I have told you before but this pot came from my friend, Shirley at Housepitality Designs. I will always treasure it. Rosebud was my Mom's nickname! This year it houses a red geranium.
 My color scheme this year is red and orange flowers. These salmon geraniums fill the bill.

 The fish all gather whenever we go to the pond, they think we will feed them every time we show up:)
 We have counted 44 fish, they multiplied over the winter:) The plant that is putting out green is a water hibiscus. The flowers it produces are like the size of a dinner plate!!!!!!!!! I will share them when they bloom.
 The water iris has buds, they will bloom soon.
 We got this bird bath last year. I haven't gotten a shot of a bird bathing yet, I have seen them just don't have the camera at the time.
 The Japanese maples are all leafed out and beautiful.
 One of my frogs, by the pond. Last night Joe counted 12 frogs in the pond!!!!

 The lily of the valley is blooming!!!
 I got a red geranium for this hook out front.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!!!! I am partying here:

Late August around the Yard

I thought I should share some pictures I took about 2 weerks ago before I share the Fall decorations outside (and in). We had beautiful, mild temps for most of the month of August and the flowers all did beautifully! Here are a few shots.These first 2 are of one of the water lilies in the pond. Wea re SO thrilled to have them, at the old house they never bloomed due to not enough sun!

 This is a pink one
 SO many laly pads.
 The marigolds all around the pnd have done very well, wait til you see how big they are now! Plus they will look good for Fall too! Bonus!

 The geraniums are blooming profusely as well.
 This is a cardinal flower. They love wet feet and the humming birds love them!

 The limelight hydrangeas.

 Imaptiens in a pot on the front "porch".
 Knock out roses.

 Peach geranium.
 The front of the house, which will be totally transformed tomorrow:)

~~~Gardening this Weekend!!!~~~
This weekend we were BUSY! And by we I mean mostly Joe!!! I used to be able to help ALOT more with the mulching but it kills my back now so I do what I can. I did help and I did plant flowers but he does the bulk of the work. I am SO grateful. Here is what we got accomplished so far. We got 8 yards of mulch delivered and most of it is done now. Here is the front of the house. The HOA mulches the front, but I like the mulch we got much better. It is darker and shredded finer as you will see.
 I planted impatiens across the front cause they only get a few hours of late afternoon sun.
A pretty begonia in a pot as you go up the sidewalk.
 The front porch. Today it will be changing. I got the flowers for the copper pot and will get them planted now. I also put some impatiens in the small green pot.
 I LOVE how this bed turned out. The huge boulders were on the property when we started building so we told the builder to LEAVE THEM, please!!!! Joe built the birdhouse and there are eggs in there.
 I planted tulips, and hyacynths around here then begonias around the perimeter so we have color all summer. We also have a hummingbird feeder here. The weeds are dying so we are trying to get the lawn looking better!!!
 This is the west side of the house so lots of sun here. All of the birdhouses around the yard, Joe built.I also am getting hanging baskets for this hook today.
 Can you see the difference in the mulch?
 I love the DARK mulch. That is a vibunum blooming and it smells HEAVENLY!!!
 Looking around to the back of the house.
 A corner bed. 2 roses and another bush that I can't remember:)
 The first tree here is a hydrangea topiary!
 We lost 2 butterfly bushes that were in this bed so Sunday we got 2 new bushes to replace them. The feeder is for blue birds, we fill it with mealworms and they LOVE it! That is monarda coming up too.
 Yesterday we got bushes for the far bed so that will be looking better soon:)
 This is the east side of the house that is mostly shaded.
 A pretty geranium for the patio wall. More changes are coming for here too! Stay tuned!
We did get furniture for the deck and I will share that soon too. Thanks for dropping by. I am linking to:
