An Almost Spring Table

Hello friends! Spring is just 3 weeks away and I am so ready for it! We have had teaser temps in the 60's and even 70's but now it is back to the 40's. Our sweet Colleen was here for a sleep over Fri. night and Sat. was gorgeous so we got to feed the fish, take 2 long walks and play outside! Sorry, back to the table. I decided to set a table that will get us almost to Spring! As usual the setting is determined by the runner. I bought myself a bunch of tulips on Fri. at the grocery to use as my centerpiece.
These are some of my favorite tulips. I have had them before.
My wooden bird sits on a wood slice and an iron stand.

The runner is a beautiful design with beautiful colors of gold, green, orange and white.
I added 2 faux topiaries on each side of the centerpiece. The white pots bring out the white in the runner.
I gathered an orange and an embroidered white napkin in these flower rings from Pier 1.

All of the dishes have a beautiful edge which makes a beautiful statement.

The tulips continue to "grow" after you cut them. I love this!

When we were ready to eat last night (Joe's black bean soup), I decided we needed some candle light! I placed plain glass holders onto a green candle ring and placed an orange votive inside.

Thanks so much for your visit today.
XO, Pinky

Spring/Easter Mantle and Hearth

I have done the mantle and hearth very differently this year. It is
all part of my lightening up and using my blue and white pieces for Spring and Summer. I was looking to get a white bunny with a basket on his back....and I found that AND this one! I filled his cabbage shaped pot with various eggs.
I used 2 different white bushes in this handled pot and..
I kept the glass and silver candle sticks on this side. Just white candles and white berry rings.

On the hearth I am using blue and white pieces, candles and a little greenery.
I love this white basket, found very inexpensively. This is the other bunny I found with a basket on his back, that I filled with tiny faux flowers.
A stem with a nest and pastel flowers is between the large jar and bunny and then one of my blue LED candles completes this little vignette.

I was so excited to find these blue LEDs at Joann Fabric for half price!
I added some white faux tulips and blue berry stems to my tall vase.
The tiny pot holds some more eggs.
I am liking this lighter and brighter look for Spring! AND, Mother Nature is cooperating; we are having temps in the 70's this week!!! I am LOVING it!!

I remembered I had this piece and so added 2 different blue grasses, blue and white eggs, a sweet lamb and a candle.
 Night time view.

Thanks so much for your visit. I hope you are having some nice Spring like weather where you are!

A Warm White Winter Welcome!

I did a new vignette on the credenza that you see entering the house. I am keeping to a snowy winter theme here too. I love this wreath with bird candle holder. I have an LED candle in it with a timer so it comes on every night.
I used a snowy pinecone garland on a snowy white runner.
Mercury glass votives cast a pretty glow too.
Plain and snow covered pine trees line the back of the credenza. 2 pretty smelling candles also burn at night.

These pretty white swans came from Longwood Gardens a few years ago.

I love the detail on the candle holder.

I hope if you come in you feel the welcome I want you to feel.

We survived the blizzard. LOL. They just plowed our driveway Sunday night so we will be able to get out. I got ALOT done this weekend: I am still doing my organizing and purging/donating that I want to get done this month.  I hope you are all OK after the storm! I am SO grateful that we did not lose our power! Have a beautiful day everyone!!!
