Sunflowers for the Table!

When we hosted our dinner group last Sat. night, I also set a new table in the breakfast room. I wanted something bright and cheerful to welcome our guests since the table in the dining room was bright and cheerful. I got some sunflowers at the grocery store and then set the table.

Some queen Anne's lace was blooming in the yard (it just came up from seed I guess, we didn't plant it) so when I pulled it out I cut some to use in my arrangement.

I also cut some limelight hydrangeas from the yard.

The table is set with sunflower placemat, a reticulated cream colored charger, a sunflower dinner and salad plate and bowl.

I also have these sunflower napkin rings from Pier 1. I gathered a yellow and a white napkin in the rings.

I thought I would show you each dish; this is the salad plate,

the dinner plates were on clearance at Pier 1 last year,

and these chargers came from one of my favorite stores up near Lancaster.

The runner has sunflowers as well. I also am using these fun lanterns on each side of the centerpiece.

A little faux bee landed on this one.

Sunflower S and P are old, I can't remember where I got them. They came in this little holder too.

It is a nice, cheerful table to greet us each morning.

When I looked out the door to the deck a gold finch was right there on the railing. he matches the table;)

At the Table with Pretty Pastels

Good morning! We had several days of rain and I mean a lot of rain so I decided to set a pretty, pastel, cheery table! I used a flowered placemat, a turquoise charger, yellow dinner plate, pink flower salad plate and I topped it all off with a mini twig wreath acting as a nest and a bird perched on top!

Isn't he cute?

I love, LOVE dishes with interesting edges, they really make a setting, I think.

The napkin ring matches well with the flowers on the placemat and the napkin.

The runner is beautifully embroidered.

I got a couple of bunches of alstromeria at Trader Joe's.

A blue goblet and clear stemmed goblet for my juice in the morning.

I have a set of these little garden guys.

I placed the vase of flowers into this small wreath to mimic the one on the dish stack.

My other set of green flatware is being used this time.

These flowers are so pretty and last a long time. That is why florists love them.

I am loving this combo.

Oh What Fun it is to Ride in a One Horse Open Sleigh!

I set a new everyday table for us when I found the tartan plaid chargers at Michaels!!! I am in LOVE with these chargers!!! I had the runner, napkins and dishes so the chargers are all that is new! This little sleigh ornament works great as a place card holder! I didn't use place cards on this table but have used the sleigh for that in the past.

The napkin rings are from Cracker Barrel this year.

I started out with the round placemats but changed them out as you will see in the nighttime shots. The dinner plate and salad plate are from Walmart; their Better Homes and Gardens line.
