Winter Kitchen Tour with Lots of Texture

Good morning friends! I hope wherever you are you are warm! It has been brutally cold here, temps in the low teens and wind chills below zero. UGH. Joe and I are going to Fl. for the month of Feb. and it can't come soon enough!!! I used some of my palm tree decor in the kitchen in preparation for being in Fl. I LOVE palm trees! So come on in, I'll make you some hot coffee! I did this vignette on the corner of the kitchen bar. I wanted to keep the center of the bar open for now. I also love to have lots of texture in the winter to warm things up. Baskets, different metals, pottery all provide different textures in the kitchen.
The bar stools are metal and have stone like backs.
As you will see, green is the main accent color I am using.
The buffet area: I removed the Christmas elements and put back all the white dishes. On the top shelf are 4 of my herb plates. Above the cabinets are pottery, baskets and greens.
We just got this dish from Joe's cousin the other day. It was his Grandmothers. I just love it. I will give it to my daughter and she can give it to Colleen!

In the center is a bread board, pottery vase and some greens.
On this side I placed all different spheres in the glass hurricane that has a cement base.  The large scoop holds faux pears and a lidded pot completes the vignette.

On the fridge is a wire basket with green apples, a copper bowl and my scale.
A very large basket holds some greens. Palm tree towels on the oven door.
The palm tree piece over the stove is made of metal so safe in this spot. A pottery bowl holds Joe's wallet.
I have black and green utensils in the palm tree holder.

This is why I kept the center of the breakfast bar clear, I love this view.
This vignette has an iron lamp with a rattan shade, a faux succulent in a pottery basket and another lidded pottery jar.

Copper, a basket and a large pottery piece at the end of the counter.

The view from the kitchen to the breakfast room. Copper molds are above the doorway opening.

Around this pantry door are a large fishing basket, copper molds, a copper bowl and a pottery colander.

I hope you have enjoyed the tour. Have a beautiful day!!!!! I hope you stay warm.

A Colorful, Summer Table

As do many of my tables, this one was inspired by the runner. I found it recently and loved the colors, the burlap edge and how bright and cheery it is. So, I decided to build a table around it.
I started with a green and white placemat, my white charger, yellow dinner plate and pink flowered salad. I LOVE that they all have interesting edges; that really makes a setting so special to me.
I had this plate that I am using as a centerpiece. It sits in my fork and spoon plate holder. It appears darker than it is in this pic, as you will see.
I decided to mix the flatware; the bamboo mimics the color of the burlap edge on the runner and the green blends too.
I gathered a pale yellow napkin and a flowered napkin in this beautiful peony napkin ring.

The rattan S and P bring another little touch of texture to the table.
These candle rings are the perfect colors for the runner.

We have had some bright, sunny days and this happy table makes me smile when I see it. Green goblets and yellow mugs complete the setting.

The flowers on the plate are so similar to the ones on the runner. Serendipity:)

We are enjoying this table for breakfast and lunch but have been eating dinner out on the deck. We want to take advantage of every day that we can eat outside. I have an outside table to share with you soon:)

Thanks for your visit. Leave me a comment to let me know you were here!

Dining with Flowers and Bunnies!!!

I set a Spring table for us all based on a new runner I found and fell in love with. The pattern and colors are perfect for Spring. I started with an apple green placemat, then my ceramic, ribbon charger, yellow embossed dinner plate and pink flower plate. All these colors are in the runner.
I used my creamy handled flatware and gathered 2 napkins in a creamy ceramic ring.
The beautiful alstromeria from the grocery store sit at our place settings in delicate bud vases.
Some faux forsythia is wound along the runner.
The taper candles are in my tulip candle holders. These are old as the hills but I still love them.

A wire bunny covered in greens is the centerpiece, keeping it simple for everyday.
The bunny S and P are used every day.
I won these egg napkins at the wedding shower at Yvonne's a couple of years ago at her beautiful home. They are paired with a cutwork green napkin.
I love, LOVE dishes with interesting edges, it kicks a place setting WAY up a notch!

Green glasses for our beverage of choice.
And a bunny mug for coffee!

A little bunny hopped right over to the table:)
The other day, the alstromeria was done so I replaced them with these pretty daisies.
I love these little mini garden carts and filled them with mini speckled eggs.

And I added these pretty candle rings that blend so beautifully with the runner.

Thanks so much for your visit. Don't forget, you can pin this to your tablescape board! Have a beautiful day my friends. XO, Pinky
