Easter Dining Table

Even though we are not having Easter at our house:(:(, I decided to set a table anyway. I had already put the runner on the table, made the arrangement in the vase and added the glass candlesticks with the eggs. I loved it but then decided to add some dishes!! I love playing with my dishes:) I wanted to keep this somewhat neutral but a little elegant for the dining room. The beaded runner set the tone. I call it "rustic luxe" as it has the casual looking chargers and vase but more elegant details too. These bunny plates are new from Home Goods this year. I could NOT resist them, plus they just HOPPED right into my cart!
When I saw these cabbage napkin rings at Pier One I had to have them as well and I love them with the cabbage leaf placemats! I gathered a tan and a green napkin in them.
My green flatware makes another appearance.
The charger reminds me of an Easter basket so it is a staple each year. I got these at Pier One many years ago.
I found these beautiful wine glasses that were my Grandmothers!!! I found a box downstairs that hadn't been opened!!! They were in that box and I am THRILLED to have them.
A faux asparagus spear at each place adds a little whimsy:)

These are my favorite dinner dishes with the beautiful leaf and vine edge.

I got this garland at a favorite shop in Lancaster county. I bought it knowing I would embellish it too:)
I added the birds nests and a few asparagus stems.

The large eggs that are in the candlesticks were an AHA moment. I was in Walmart and saw these on an end cap and had an epiphany! I placed LED votives in the candlesticks that I can light at night.

 Detail of the runner.

White cherry blossom stems are a favorite of mine for Spring and Summer. I love how they cascade over the table. Now if we were eating here I would replace this with a small arrangement.
This is one of my favorite tables I have ever done. Every time I walk by the dining room it makes me smile. It will be hard to take it down.
I thought I would show you the room without the tablescape.

Thanks so much for your visit. I wish you all a blessed Easter week. I will be sharing at these great parties:

Artichokes at the Table

Lately I have been doing tables. I am hanging onto the last bits of summer but have removed all the shell décor and packed it away for next year. So, I am in a kind of decorating limbo. SO, tables are  what I am doing!!! Here is the latest one! I found these artichoke salad plates at Home Goods and grabbed 2. LOVE them! I knew I had the other elements for a table setting so here it is! I first started with this green runner which is the other side of a bunny runner but hate how wrinkled it looks.
So I switched to this bound burlap one and it looks so much better and really lightened up the whole table.
I layered 2 napkins that mimic the shades of green in the plate and placemat.

I have had these artichoke votive holders for years and they have gotten use on many tables! I love them!

I placed them into this green leaf bowl that is almost the exact shape of the artichoke!
The bowl is sitting on the base of a hurricane holder!!! It adds another bit of texture to the table. I am all about texture on a table!!!
My clear bubble glasses came out again.

I also have these faux spears of asparagus and just casually placed them on the plates.
The dinner plate is a square shaped plate with a brown crackle edge.
 The green runner and...
 the burlap runner
I made the centerpiece several years ago and it lands all over the house at different times.
These candle holders are a favorite of mine. I stole them from Joe's man cave downstairs)
My frog pitcher is being used for water. I have really upped my water consumption this summer!!!

The centerpiece is 3 artichokes surrounded by some white filler flowers. 3 pieces of green bamboo are placed horizontally through the arrangement.

I hope you liked my new table setting. It will serve us well for a couple of weeks.

Thanks for stopping by. I will be sharing at these parties:

Dining with Birds and Bunnies!!!!

I have "Springified my kitchen, breakfast room, mantle and coffee table so far! I set this new table and wanted to share it with you. I hope you like it and will come back to see the rest of my Spring!!!! I made a new centerpiece. You may remember this box with the chalkboard on the front. I found this wonderful bunny platter at Home Goods and knew just what I would do with it. I love that it is green and cream, I am getting away from all the pastels right now and am LOVING using greens and whites.
With the platter I added a nest, a gardening shovel, a votive candle in a green cup and a bird house. And do you see the asparagus too? What else signals Spring like asparagus:)
I sprinkled a few eggs around too.

Here is our place setting. I covered the table with a light green cutwork tablecloth, then layered a green and white placemat, my glass charger, a leafy white dinner plate, a green and white salad, my pedestal bowls and inside a bunny on a goody box!

2 napkins are layered: a green that matches the tablecloth and a pretty white one. They are caught up in my garden chair napkin rings. A tiny bunny sits on the chair!
More layering! 2 candle rings are entwined around a white pillar.
My green flatware makes another appearance.

To enhance the garden theme a pair of garden gnomes sit next to the pillars.

These little boxes are so sweet and can be used as a take home gift too.

Here are the garden gnomes, this guy is relaxing:)
And she is carrying a bucket into which I placed a TINY shovel.

. WE are OK. No idea how long it will take to get car fixed:(
I will be sharing the rest soon IF I can figure out how to do that with my new tablet:) We leave in the morning for Fl. and I can not WAIT to get to warmer temps! UPDATE! Joe and I were in an accident  in SC on the way down to Fl. WE are OK, no idea how long it will be til car is fixed... will be linking to:
