~~~Limelight Hydrangeas and Beautiful Zinnias!~~~
The limelight hydrangeas are at their peek right now so I thought I would share them. The blossoms are so beautiful and HUGE! I love the color and how they hold up. I cut some to bring inside to enjoy too. They start out the light lime color then turn creamy white.
 This is a hydrangea TREE, that we got the first summer we were here. I just love it!
 I have 3 bushes and the tree. This one by the garage was about 2 feet tall and now has doubled in size!
 This is my neighbors bush, right behind us. She prunes it almost all the way to the ground and look how big it gets!!! It is funny that her blooms are not at the same place as mine, not at peek yet.
 Here are some shots of my zinnias. I just love these happy flowers! They are beautiful cut, for an arrangement too.
 The colors are so vibrant.
 The shapes are somewhat different too.
 This was one little flower from a 6 pack in the Spring. Now it is like a small bush:)
 LOVE this orange color!
 It is amazing that they start like this and bloom so beautifully! Mother Nature at her best!
 I have them all along this side of the house. You see this side as you drive down the street so I like to have it very colorful. The zinnia and marigold combination is also beautiful in the Fall!!!
Thanks for visiting. My Joe is 2 weeks out from his surgery and doing great!!!
XO, Pinky
Dining with Birds and Bunnies!!!!
I have "Springified my kitchen, breakfast room, mantle and coffee table so far! I set this new table and wanted to share it with you. I hope you like it and will come back to see the rest of my Spring!!!! I made a new centerpiece. You may remember this box with the chalkboard on the front. I found this wonderful bunny platter at Home Goods and knew just what I would do with it. I love that it is green and cream, I am getting away from all the pastels right now and am LOVING using greens and whites.
 With the platter I added a nest, a gardening shovel, a votive candle in a green cup and a bird house. And do you see the asparagus too? What else signals Spring like asparagus:)
 I sprinkled a few eggs around too.
 Here is our place setting. I covered the table with a light green cutwork tablecloth, then layered a green and white placemat, my glass charger, a leafy white dinner plate, a green and white salad, my pedestal bowls and inside a bunny on a goody box!
 2 napkins are layered: a green that matches the tablecloth and a pretty white one. They are caught up in my garden chair napkin rings. A tiny bunny sits on the chair!
 More layering! 2 candle rings are entwined around a white pillar.
 My green flatware makes another appearance.
 To enhance the garden theme a pair of garden gnomes sit next to the pillars.
 These little boxes are so sweet and can be used as a take home gift too.
 Here are the garden gnomes, this guy is relaxing:)
 And she is carrying a bucket into which I placed a TINY shovel.
~~~The Making of an Arrangement~~~

Hi everyone. Today (Monday) is my birthday and I got some flowers! I bought the sunflowers and my girlfriend (who I share a birthday with) gave me the others. I also filled in with some flowers from my yard.  The first thing I did was chose my favorite cut glass vase. Then I make a grid on the top with florist tape to hold the flowers in place.

 Then I added the greens that came with the flowers for a base.
 Alstromeria
 sunflowers, gerber daisies
 ignore that packing tape in the background, Joe had it out and I didn't notice it til now:( Hydrangeas and zinnias from the yard
 I placed it on the breakfast room table to enjoy at mealtime. I can also see it every time I go into the kitchen.
 Ahhhh......

 I apologize for this one, there was a FINGER PRINT on the lense, who the heck did that?????

 Flowers make me happy. Hope you had a good day too. We are meeting our best friends tonight for dinner and we had a wonderful brunch yesterday with our daughter and SIL. Love to you all, Pinky
