Simple Changes on the Table

Last week I got all my bunnies out! I just couldn't wait any longer. I have a "thing" for bunnies and a good collection of them. So, I thought I could change up my table with just a few changes! The tulips were spent and I couldn't find the same color so I got these beautiful alstromerias. They are in the lily family and last a LONG time. They are a florists staple. This is just one bunch and it fills my cut glass vase.

I placed a furry little bunny into the cloche.

And I placed this pastel bunny on a stand and surrounded it with a white berry ring. I took this shot from the back to show the pretty detail
 Isn't she cute?

I also placed 2 tiny, white, ceramic bunnies into the bowls to peek out.
I changed the dinner plate to these beautiful rust colored ones that were purchased at the $ store several years ago. I LOVE the color!
This set of bunnies sit at our place settings. Mr. for the Mister and, I have the Mrs.

 Aren't the flowers so pretty!?

She can't resist sniffing the flowers:)

This is a bright, cheery setting for us. It is now against a background of snow on the ground. But that's OK, we are warm and cozy inside. And longing for SPRING!!!!

Have a beautiful day, my friends and thanks so much for your visit!
XO, Pinky

New Spring/Summer Bedding in the Master

I bought this bedding many months ago for Spring/Summer. I fell in love with the colors and design when I saw it so went ahead and got it. Little did I know that we would FINALLY have a new bed to put the bedding on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SOOOOOO happy to have a new bed, ours was almost 30 years old!!!! Oh my aching back (and hip). No more pain!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOO HOO!!!! But back to the bedding; hope you like it too:)
 I love this pattern!
I had a happy moment when I realized I had 2 pillows in my stash that look like they were made for this set!!! The trim on them matches almost perfectly with the bedding!
I used 2 green pillows from my stash to bring out the little bits of green in the pattern.
Love this pretty ruffled pillow that I found at Big Lots!
I bought this succulent and this pot the other day. But today I repotted it in a SPECIAL container you will see further down in the post.
 Joe's side.
These 3 pieces travel all over the house but look so pretty with this bedding.

Here is my special container. We (my sister and I) grew up in my Grandmothers house. So it was the 5 of us: My Mom, me, my sister Sue, Grandma and my Aunt Bunny! She was like another Mother to me. One year at Easter when I was a teen I bought her this bunny with an African violet in it. I am SO happy I still have it!
It is a little chippy but that is fine with me!

Our room is bright and cheery for these warmer months. Thanks for your visit.

Breakfast and Ideas

Friday morning I decided to have a light breakfast of yogurt, fruit and granola. I layered it all in my Grandmothers parfait glass. I only have 2 of these but love them because I think of her each time I use them. Growing up, we lived in my Grandmother's house and I can picture these in her built in corner cabinet in the dining room. She was a sweet, gentle woman, I was heartbroken when she died.
I layered peach yogurt, nectarines and a banana. I didn't have any blueberries or would have added some of them too.
The table is till set with last weeks setting. If you missed that post, you can see it here: http://designsbypinky.blogspot.com/2015/05/new-springsummer-table.html
Do you get this idea book from Lowes? I think we get one monthly, not sure but they have some great ideas in them!
It was a nice, filling breakfast and leisurely look through the magazine.

A Hauntingly Witchy Table!!

It is Halloween Eve and time for a new table. I had alot of fun putting this one together. The cauldron is brewing up a delicious potion so let's have a seat!! Ms. Witch seems to have lost her shoes! And they are such pretty shoes too! I started with a black and white checked tablecloth, a white charger, then a stack of black, orange and white dishes.
2 napkins are gathered together in this fun napkin ring.
A lacy pumpkin matches the skirt on Ms. witch.
 Black goblets hold your poison:)

Let's light the candles! Ms. Witch deserves a feather boa, don't you think? It is wound around the table

A lacy witch"s shoe holds the flatware

and a bottle brush tree adds some fun to the table.
Candles stand on a dessert bowl, turned upside down with a black striped pumpkin under it.
S and P are gathered in a mini wagon.
The plates here are part of a set with each one picturing something different.

Mini corn kernals fill the bottom of the hurricane candle holder.
And Ms. witch presides over all.
 With her bag of goodies!

This little one is witch in training:)

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all have a HAUNTINGLY good Halloween and enjoy some goodies too!!!!
