New Spring/Summer Bedding in the Master

I bought this bedding many months ago for Spring/Summer. I fell in love with the colors and design when I saw it so went ahead and got it. Little did I know that we would FINALLY have a new bed to put the bedding on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SOOOOOO happy to have a new bed, ours was almost 30 years old!!!! Oh my aching back (and hip). No more pain!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOO HOO!!!! But back to the bedding; hope you like it too:)
 I love this pattern!
 I had a happy moment when I realized I had 2 pillows in my stash that look like they were made for this set!!! The trim on them matches almost perfectly with the bedding!
 I used 2 green pillows from my stash to bring out the little bits of green in the pattern.
 Love this pretty ruffled pillow that I found at Big Lots!
 I bought this succulent and this pot the other day. But today I repotted it in a SPECIAL container you will see further down in the post.
 Joe's side.
 These 3 pieces travel all over the house but look so pretty with this bedding.

 Here is my special container. We (my sister and I) grew up in my Grandmothers house. So it was the 5 of us: My Mom, me, my sister Sue, Grandma and my Aunt Bunny! She was like another Mother to me. One year at Easter when I was a teen I bought her this bunny with an African violet in it. I am SO happy I still have it!
 It is a little chippy but that is fine with me!

 Our room is bright and cheery for these warmer months. Thanks for your visit.

~~~Fall in the Guest Room~~~
It’s chill November weather,
the firelight’s on the wall.
Home, dear home, is best of all,
Let’s thank God together.
It IS getting chilly here now on the first of Nov. Since I am going to have my sister up here from Fl. for Thanksgiving, I decided to make the guest room cozy and welcoming for her. I changed out the bedding and added some new accessories. This is how the room looks as you enter the room.
 I just added a fall candle ring and cut out pumpkins to the bedside tables.
 I used throw pillows from my stash....I have a "pillow problem" as you know:) The comforter is just the reverse side of the original one I had on here when we moved in. Just a plain tan color, a basic neutral that I wanted to build on. The trunk at the bottom of the bed can be used to store the throw pillows at night.
 I love this pedestal basket and filled it with different balls, some deer sheds from my BIL, and some turtle shells from my BIL too. He is a hunter and lived in Michigan and would walk the woods looking for sheds etc.
 I added a fall leaf and berry garland to the basket above the bed too.
 As you can see the front pillow has a TOUCH of blue to tie it to the curtains etc.
 I made these wall baskets MANY years ago. They have some pineapples in them, which is the symbol for hospitality so pefect for the guest room.
 I also painted the bases, they were white when I bought them.
I am hoping my sister will be comfortable and warm on our chilly nights. I am so looking forward to seeing her and having her meet our Colleen!!!!!!!!
I am partying here:
