~~~Letting the House Take a Deep Breath!!!~~~
Hello my friends! I have been VERY busy since returning from Fl. on Sat. night taking Christmas down.....finally!!! Joe didn't want me to do it before I left so I came home to all of it. Plus he hurt his backl so I have been carrying all the bins up the stairs and then back down after packing them. Let me tell you going up and down the steps about a bazillion times is GREAT exercise for your butt:):):) So, I wanted to share the morning room as that is where I start. The tree was in here so I am showing you how I put it away and then the morning room dressed down for Winter. Here is a good tip for you. I keep the very top section of the tree decorated and next year I just have to fluff the bows and the berries and sticks and it's good to go!!!
 I also fold the tree skirt and tulle and place it in the box too.
 There you go, all closed up and ready to store til next year!
 Now here are the "bare bones" of the room all cleaned and vacummed.
 I have set a "Winter White" table with touches of greens that I will share tomorrow.
 I have chosen to concentrate on a soothing green color palette for Winter. I feel it is very calming. Today the sun is shing BRIGHTLY after we got 11 inches of snow yesterday!!!
 The plants and plant shelf were in the master bedroom for Christmas and have been brought back out here.
 I have had this large fish basket for MANY years. It holds large pieces of bamboo.
 I have had this bakers rack in here since we moved in but am going to make a change. I have decided I want to put the hutch that Joe made me in here. I think it will be a better fit for the room.
 I love the 2 faux topiaries that I found in the Fall at Tuesday Morning. The green, pagoda shaped lantern holds a candle on a timer. It gives off a beautiful, soft glow in the evening.
Thanks so much for your visit. Now that I am home and getting organized I will be able to blog again!! I hope you are all staying warm: it was 3 degrees when I got up with wind chills between minus 15-20!!! BRRRRR.  XO, Pinky
Hydrangeas on the Coffee Table and New Pillows
 Hi everyone! As you all know, I LOVE blue and white, so when summer rolls around and I have HYDRANGEA blooms, they make an appearance all over the place. This week they are on the coffee table. These all came from 2 bushes at the old house but what a variety of hues!!! Each one makes me smile.
 They look so delicate but are pretty hardy.
 I thought I would show you the pillows that are on the sofa now. The front one is the RL ones that I got last year at Home Goods. I LOVE THEM so much. The striped ones behind that are from Burlington Coat Factory! They have some VERY pretty pillows and great prices.
 I forget now where I found the fish pillow. It was perfect at the old house cause the living room looked out to the pond. SOON, this living room will look out to a pond too!!!!!!!!! I am SO antsy to  get it going and done!
 I forget where I got the flowered pillows too. I am soon going to need a room for pillows!!!!!!! Can you relate?:):)
 I still love my crane topiaries, have had them for many years.
 The lantern is from Kirklands this year.
 I love the scroll on the front and......
 the battery powered candle is scrolled too!
 a match made in Heaven!
 You can see all the different hues well, in this photo.
 Thanks so much for stopping by. have a BEAUTIFUL week. XO, Pinky
~~~Feathering Our Nest, Morning Room Table~~~

Good Saturday afternoon. I don't know where the morning went!!! Yesterday I was having some friends over so I spent the night before and the moring yesterday SPIT SHINING the house. The kitchen and Morning room are now dressed in their finest Spring decor:):) I wanted to share some of that with you. Here we go: This is the fabulous faux terrarium that I found at TJMaxx a few months ago and had it filled with bunnies for Easter. Now that I am "feathering our nest", I have brought out the BIRDS, nests, pots, and birdhouses. The air plants that are perched on the top are from Robin of All Things Heart and Home blog. She is the SWEETEST, most generous friend!
 I placed this birdhouse inside and on a little stand to bring it up some.
 This large bird used to live on my windowsill at the other house.
  The whole terrarium is lined with some moss for now.

 I love the 2 topiaries, and on each side of them are these cute wire cages that I found last year. They sit in a nest with a bird who is watching over her eggs. See the little bird on top too?

 A close up of the runner. I have 2 of these runners. I love the colors and design.
 The S and P are watering cans.
 I used a green striped placemat, my square wicker handled chargers, a detailed white plate and my pretty printed salad plates all topped with a twiggy wreath (that I also use as napkin rings) and a bird!

 The white marbled flatware is our everyday flatware for this season.
 I paired it with a printed green napkin. I like all the different hues of green on the table. It reminds me of everything outside that is greening up right now!

So, this will be our table for the coming season. It is simple but so pretty to me. I will share the rest of the kitchen soon. Have a GREAT weekend everyone. We have a day OFF today and are then going to our daughter and SIL's for dinner! XO, Pinky
