Slowly Transitioning some Summer Decor

Good morning my friends! We were away on our family vacation last week and had a wonderful time. I did not have a chance to blog but we are back and now I will be starting to transition to some summer decor. I started with the coffee table. I also changed out the pillows on the sofa.
I got this water lily plant on clearance at Target, months ago. I love it as we have the REAL DEAL right outside the window in our pond. We had 10 lilies blooming today! I forget where I got the piece of blue coral. I have had it for years!
I have a couple of these floats too so thought I would incorporate them into the vignette.

I love these ginger jar embroidered pillows that I found a couple of years ago for a steal at CTS!!!!

My koi pillow is another favorite, since we have the pond (with fish in it, but not koi) right outside.
This is such a pretty, embroidered pillow, I just love it.

I love the lighter, brighter feel for the summer. We are having out first heat wave this week. 90)'s all week:( I used to love the heat, now I don't.

Thanks so much for your visit!!! Stay cool, if you can!
XO, Pinky

NEW Bedding for Summer!!!!!

Good morning! I am very happy. I have searched for months and months for summer bedding. I really wanted a tropical/British Colonial vibe in our room for summer. But I didn't want it too "themey"....is that a word, LOL! I finally found something I really liked. Let me know what you think.
The lantern on the table is somewhat new, I found it several  months ago and really like it in here.
I have since changed this vignette:)
I love the parrots in the design.
My son gave me this piece that features parrots so it is prefect here on my nightstand.
I also love this wooden pineapple that I found recently.
I had all the throw pillows so didn't have to purchase any! The one in the front with the monkey is a very favorite of mine.

The palm tree silhouettes were on clearance at Joann Fabric last year so I grabbed them knowing I wanted to go with this idea.
I found this garland with ferns leaves and thought it was perfect to drape over the mirror.

 Some nighttime shots.
I changed the vignette, added the orchid and rearranged the plate and lantern.

I would have shared the sitting room but the post would be too long. I'll share it tomorrow.
Thanks so much for your visit.

Early Summer on the Porch

Good morning my friends! I hope you all had a nice weekend and will have a beautiful week ahead. My front porch is greeting early summer, and YOU! Welcome! As you know, I love the  blue and orange combo. They are at opposite sides of the color wheel so a beautiful combination. I brought that combo outside to the "porch", in the wreath, the pots and the flowers.
Looking over here to the right, I have a double hook with a hanging plant and a blue bird feeder that Joe made. It is fun to watch them eating  from the dining room window:)
I keep my cranes in the garage in the winter and bring them out here in the spring. The bushes were cut back in HALF and have grown like weeds. After they finish blooming we will cut them back again and MOVE them to a better location. I want something smaller here.

Impatiens are my go to out here since it faces north and gets no sun.
In the urn I planted some begonias and they are doing GREAT! I also have plans to paint the urn. I am not into the black. I may add some gold to the details or just change the whole color.

I love layering a small rug and the doormat. I got the rug at Target last year and the mat at CVS!!!!

I made the wreath 2 years ago but still like it here. I store my wreaths by hanging them on a hanger, covering them with a dry cleaner bag and hang them in a closet in the basement.

I am surprised that the wrens have not tried to make a nest in the wreath this year. One year I had to move it to the side wall because we couldn't go in and out the door:)

This bird house was a housewarming gift from my sister-in-law. I love it!

Thanks so much for your visit. I hope you all have a great day.
