Summer Table in the Dining Room.

This week I have been getting all of my shell collection out and placed in different spots around the house for summer. I thought I would set a new Summer table in the dining room. As you know I keep this table set all the time as a nice greeting for our guests. The table started with these place mats that are the only new thing this year. I loved the coral and shells on the and the colors! This post is a little picture heavy but I took pics in daylight and at night.

I tried to use all the colors that are in the place mat. The blue wine glasses, turquoise votive holders, and different shades of blue and turquoise in the dishes.
I got this extra large clam shell at the place where I used to work, years ago. I filled the bottom with plastic then added many of the shells and coral I have collected for MANY years.
My Napolean Bee flatware is a stapple for summer.

Turquoise candle holders and LED candles flank the large shell.
I gathered a blue abstract designed napkin and a white one that is trimmed in blue with my shell rings.
I also added a few other shells down the runner.
Blue dinner plate, square salad plate rimmed with raised fish, and a shell plate for dessert.
My shell pillows are many years old but have held up very well.
Since the candles don't have an actual flame I placed a small starfish on each one too.
 The S and P.

Four different designs on the napkin rings.

Thanks so very much for your visit. Not much has been happening during this HEAT we have had but it FINALLY broke yesterday and it was delightful to have temps in the 70's!!!! That after 3 100 degree days:( that were part of the 3rd heat wave.

Our Pond and New Gazing Ball

Good morning friends!!! It has been HOT, humid, WET and typical July weather. The older I get the less I enjoy this HEAT. I have been a little lazy lately so not much has changed INSIDE, but Joe has been busy outside cleaning up the pond and he bought a new gazing ball. We both love it and it looks so pretty during the day and at night. Joe found a pot that we had that was just the right size to hold the ball. He placed something like caulk around the edge of the pot to hold it steady in there.

It is so nice that the waterlilies are blooming all summer!

The fish seem to be happy and eating all the time:)

It was pitch dark when I took these and they came out lighter!

You can't tell in the picture but at night the reflection of the waterfall makes it look like the ball is shimmering.

Thanks so much for your visit. Hope you are having a good summer.
XO, Pinky

Pastels on the Table for Summer!

Good morning! I am sorry I have been posting so sporadically this summer but life has gotten in the way. Our family has been busy and family is number 1 for me:) I hope to get back to more regular posting now.
I set a new table for us and invite you to join us! I found these place mats and napkins last week and just loved them. They have palm leaves on them and I was going to do a tropical table but then decided to go with the pastels for a light, summer look. I used my green plaid charger, a yellow dinner plate, and the pink flower salad plate.
My hydrangea napkin rings (Pier 1 last year), pick up all the colors. I gathered a plain green cut work napkin with the palm leaf napkin.
My turquoise goblets, a turquoise votive in a rattan holder and the turquoise lantern.
My watering can S and P blend in too.
I made this simple arrangement last year and the colors work too. I couldn't get this picture to lighten but there is a better picture down below.

My green marbleized flatware is so pretty with this setting.

Dinner at dusk, let's light the candles!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you are having a good summer. It has been blazing hot here. Today the heat finally broke and the humidity that has been awful went down too. It was a beautiful day.
