Spring on the Dining Room Table

Good morning friends! I always keep the table set in the dining room to be a nice welcome when anyone comes over. I set a new table for Spring to share with you! The dining room is to the right when you come in the door.
I found the dinner plates on clearance at Pier 1 several years ago so grabbed them I was lucky that they had 4 left. The little appy plates came from Home Goods a couple of years ago.
I added a different nest at each place setting.

My Napolean Bee flatware is a staple during the Spring and Summer.
I gathered a turquoise napkin and a flowered napkin (that matches the place mats), in a flower ring.
2 cute watering can candles were added to the centerpiece along with the turquoise candle holders and LED candles. Then a little potted plant.
The wine glasses are hand painted and were a gift from my SIL many years ago. They each have a different flower painted on them. Thanks, Janie.

I found the runner at Christmas Tree Shops last year, I think.

If we were eating at this table I would definitely switch out the centerpiece for a small vase of flowers for easy conversation!

At night we can light the candles.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Our weather has been a roller coaster. We had 7 out of 11 weekends of RAIN, then this past week we had 2 days of high 80's then today it went back to the LOW 70's for the high. Crazy!

We Are Dining with the Birds This Week!

Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. If you celebrate Mother's day I hope it was the best one yet. I set a new table for us and wanted to share. Hope you like it. I found this cute stand last week at CTS. I had been looking for a stand for the kitchen table.
I have had this little candle shade for years. The original candle is gone and I was happy to see that it fit on this one. The bird S and P are the ones from Target, YEARS ago.
The rattan wrapped glasses provide a touch of texture that I love. And the bird votive holders, I have had for years too.

I placed a candle ring on the wooden stand and then a wooden bird.

The grapevine rings came from a decor shop in Lancaster county. I added the green ring and the bird.

The runner is quilted and the pattern is simple for Spring.
I gathered 2 napkins in my silverware ring.
At dusk it is dinnertime and we light the candles.

We had our dinner group here on Sat. night and ate in the dining room, but they liked this table too. I didn't set a very fancy table for dinner group but may share it later.

Thanks so much for your visit. Our weather has been horrible: cold and RAIN, rain, rain. But the end of the week it is supposed to be nice. I am hoping. I was ready to start building the ark today:)

Spring in the Living Room!

Good morning! Spring is my favorite season. I love seeing the grass turning green, the flowers coming to life, the trees budding them blooming. Sometimes the weather is like a roller coaster and this year it sure has been. Tons of rain and cool temps followed by summer like for a day then back to cool. But it is still a favorite season. I transitioned from Easter decor to Spring.

The bunnies on the mantle are put away and I brought out some birds, nests and an arrangement of blue and white.
On the hearth I placed a vase with some dried lavender.
The pillow is new this year.

I got some shots at dusk too.

I am liking the simpler look.

Some of you may not have seen this new side table. Joe found it online and fell in love with it. It is made from the trunk of a tree, all one piece. I placed one of the elephants that came from India next to it, as it is carved from a single piece of wood as well.

Thanks for your visit. Have a beautiful day and I hope it is Spring where you are!
XO, Pinky
