~~~Staging the House to Sell!!!~~~
 Good Monday morning my friends! I have to thank you all for being SO patient with me and hanging in there while we have been painting, throwing things out, packing, cleaning etc. But now we are "STAGING"!!!! Whoo hoo. The house will be on the market soon. Now, I have to preface this post by saying that I stated to my hubby the other day, "this house is now officially devoid of all personality!!!". But, it is ready to sell and I have to remember, people do not want to see MY possessions, they want to visualize their own things in here. That being said, here we go! In the foyer here, we removed the baker's rack that was on the stone wall. (All these things have been done at the request of the "stager") I, personally, think the baker's rack was a pretty "welcome", but.....
 I was allowed to leave the 2 shelf units to the sides, but they have been pared down.
 Her we are in the living room. This credenza was supposed to go because she wanted us to rearrange the sofa. We tried that but it looked HORRIBLE, it just does NOT fit the way she wanted it so it is staying.
 Oh, the speakers are now gone too, they are being used as "night stands" here in my office that is now staged as a bedroom. I hope you can follow all this:):)
 In this corner, you might remeber my rattan etegere. Gone.:):)
 I replaced my coffee table with this brass one that WAS in our master bedroom. This one is smaller and gives more room to move around.
 The curio cabinet in the corner was supposed to be removed but, again, it is staying.
 The mantle and hearth have been pared down. I was only supposed to leave the 2 wooden lights but I thought it was TOO bare for a 9 foot mantle.
 The oriental screen was in this corner. It is now stored at Joe's cousin's house. He has been kind enough to let us store things that we didn't want to go into the POD at his house. He has a full, empty, basement that is bone dry. Thank you, Pat!!!!
 The bar has been pared down by 1/2.
 I'm not sure if I ever showed you this painting. It was done by my Father. He was an artist. Our last name was Martini, and he drew my Mother's and his hands holding martini glasses.
 You can see his signiture in the bottom right corner. he didn't sign many of his things so this is priceless to me.
 Here we go into the dining room.
 The server OR the baker's rack was to be removed.....
 So, the server is gone and is in the "bedroom" that is also my office. I'll show you that in a later post this week.
 I know that picture in the middle is too high but the oriental screen was there, and had to go so we switched to this picture to hide the mark in the wall. We did NOT want to have to paint this room too, plus we don't still have this paint.
 My simple centerpiece for the table. I just got a new runner with birds embroidered on the ends that will go here.
 Didn't mean to include this picture, but don't know how to delete it so this is a little sneak peek at the bridge upstairs:):)
Thanks for stopping by. I will continue the "tour" this week so please come back. I am joining these parties this week:
~~~The POD is FILLED!!!~~~

 Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a beautiful Mother's day! We are still plugging away so I thought I would show you the "filling of the POD":):) POD stands for Portable on demand storage, in case you didn't know. They bring the POD to your house, you fill it, then they store it til you are ready and deliver it to the new house!!! This is exactly what we needed.
 We started out putting some shelf units that Joe had built in first, then packed things in them and on them.
 All those plastic bins (20 of them) are train cars, in their individual boxes.
 Joe's cousin, Pat came to help us last Sunday.
 This is the armoire from the guest room. It is FILLED.

 These are shots from today. Dave helped us til he and Tracy went to see his Mom, then Joe and I finished.
 It is kind of like putting a puzzle together, trying to fit things in EXACTLY so they don't move or shift.
I wrote on each box what is in it and where it goes in the new house. Hopefully that will make things alot easier and more organized:):)

 This is the last picture I got but now it is filled, to the edge. I packed almost every single box in there. I didn't count but am guessing about 200 or more.
We also got 7 rooms painted this week. It is exhausting but we have our "eye on the prize". It is hard to make a decision about every single thing you own, whether you want to keep it or donate it or just get rid of it. We are probably too old for this but we keep on going:):) Hope you are enjoying the journey with us.
I will post this with these parties and hope you will find some fun, inspiration at them too. Thanks so much for your visit. And for the encouragement and support you give me!

~~~Around the Yard on Cinco de Mayo~~~
 Hi everyone! I have not shown you anything PRETTY for awhile, (moving is NOT pretty) so I thought I would share some beauty around the yard. This is a gorgeous time of year around here. We have about 40 rhododendron bushes and more azaleas so things are very colorful right now. It is amazing to watch the unfurling of a flower. God's artistry at work.
 The columbine are just starting to show their colors too. I will show some other ones tomorrow. I just saw that they are blooming out by the driveway too.
 These rhodos started out here at about 18 inches tall. Now, they are about 20 FEET tall. This is ONE bush, FULL of buds and blooms. It is right off our back deck.
 Last night I went and bought my flowers for the window boxes and pots and last night and tonight got all the window boxes planted and most of the pots. I will share the deck "all gussied up" later this week.
 These are deciduous azaleas. There is an orange one and a salmon colored one. Some lavender azalea is shoing through behind them.
 The salmon bloom.
 This rhodo is Joe's favorite. Just that one speck of color on the white flower. SO pretty.
 This is a red rhodo. My old boss was THROWING IT OUT and I asked if I could have it. She thought it was dying. Well, it has been here for about 18 years and thriving:):)
 When it is in full bloom it is beautiful and I will get a shot of it then for you.
 Thanks so much for stopping by. I am going to share this at these parties:
