Shadow Shots This Morning

Good morning! It is a CRISP, COOL  morning here in southeast Pa.! 44 when I got up AND 49 right now. But it will warm up to a NICE day. I took some "shadow shots" that I love, this morning and thought I would share them with you. Enjoy!!!! I cut these berry branches from the old house yesterday and placed them in my white pitcher.  They just say FALL to me!

 The living room gets light from the east in the morning and from the south in the afternoon. I LOOOOOVE having all this light!

~~~A Few Fall Vignettes~~~~

I have been very busy! But I wanted to share a few Fall vignettes today. I will give you a complete tour very soon but ALOT is going on here!!! Plus I have been cleaning out closets, purging clothes and took 4 bags to GW today. The deck is being done as we speak, Joe is trying to work on the bar, we had a showing today....it goes on and on. So, here are just a few shots. I love, LOVE fall!!!!! This first one is in the morning room. Pumpkins, acorns, pinecones and a cloche!

 My grapevine pumpkin elevated on a wire stand and embellished with 2 candle rings.

 One of my pumpkin plates that I got several years ago at the place where I worked. The little pottery bag with the hay coming out I got at a craft fair MANY years ago.

 A tiny SNEAK PEEK at my mantle. I just bought some lights today so want to add them and then I will do the reveal:) We got a REAL taste of Fall today, it was 47 when we got up theis norning and windy! BRRR.....:):) Have a great week my friends.

Continuing the Tour, The Front of the House Decorated for Fall

I have shown you the foyer so I better show you the front of the house before we proceed to other spots!  I know this may change some but right now ths is how the front of the house looks, decorated for FALL!!! Fall is my favorite time of year. Yes, I LOVE summer and now that we live here, I LOVE having the pool to go to. But Fall brings so many things I love: hot cider, football, cozy throws, pumpkin anything, comfort food, I could go on and on!!!! So here are a few shots of the front of my house. When I look back to last years pictures, I am kinda amazed! It has changed ALOT in just one short year! We will be in this house one year on Oct. 1st!!!! I can hardly believe it!!!! I got this pillow at Christmas Tree Shops 2 years ago. I love it still.

 This came from the same shop.

 Last year we didn't have any bushes on the front side of the walkway and only 6 things in the space where the bench is now:)

 I got this little fence many years ago at a craft fair.

 Joe and I have sat out here on this bench MANY evenings this summer having a glass of wine and visiting with neighbors.

 I took the summer flowers out of the hanging basket and replaced them with fall flowers. The plant stand will go inside when it gets too cool outside. I embellished it with some pumpkins, leaves etc. The coleus in the copper pot are still looking very good but I want to do a Fall arrangement of some plants in there SOON.

 We brought the stepping stones over from the other house. They used to be around the pond.

 I got my first pumpkin yesterday at the grocery store. I chose the biggest one they had:)

 My fall welcome mat. It is a little "tired" but I may replace it NEXT year.

 I put the pumpkin on 2 hay bales that I stacked together.

 And surrounded them with FAUX mums!

 At the old house we didn't have enough sun for real mums and these never die!!!! However, when I find some pretty real ones, I will replace them.

 My Fall wreath on the front door. So there you have it. I will continue the tour back inside. I LOVE decorating for Fall, these are MY colors! I can't wait till we can start painting the inside of the house. But right now we have LOTS of projects going: a deck, patio and pond. Plus Joe is working on a bar downstairs. One of these days we will be bored and have nothing to do....................HA!!!!!!!! Thanks for your visit. XO, Pinky

~~~WELCOME Fall!!!!!~~~

I am having mixed feelings today as we remember what this day means. However, it is also my daughter and SIL's 3rd anniversary! So, while I feel the sadness that 9/11 will always bring, I also rejoice in their love and happiness. Ok, now, I want to share some more of my Fall decorations:) I am starting at the front door. Just INSIDE the door though, cause I will share out front and the door wreath later. WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I added some Fall candle rings around the flameless candles on the stairs.

 And, I decided to do the bottom part of the railing too! I had some of this berry garland left over and I also used 2 other garlands woven together.

 I made a bow with this great pplaid ribbon and tied on this faux acorn.

 I inserted a few extras too:)

 There are 2 different candle rings...this one with leaves and berries and acorns.....

 and this one with the tiny little pumpkins.

~~~An Early Fall Table~~~

Good morning!!! I have gotten all of my Fall decorating done so wanted to start sharing it with you. I don't have pictures of out front yet so will start with the morning room table. I put together a little arrangement for the centerpiece. I got this great box last year and it has a chalkboard piece on the front to write on.

 I placed a brown pottery pumpkin in a cloche in the center. Added one of my sunflower plates on one side.

 Stuck in some Fall picks

 a gardening fork, and some smaller pumpkins and some fall leaves to fill in.

 The placesetting is very simple. Rattan square placemat trimmed in green, round rattan charger, green dinner plate, sunflower plate, pumpkin bowl.

 I am using my brown bamboo flatware.

 I layered a green and a yellow napkin into a ceramic sunflower napkin ring.

 The sunflower S and P stay on the table for all meals.

 The amber stems can hold your beverage of choice and a leaf tea light holder will add ambiance at dinner time.

 2 ceramic pumpkins flank the centerpiece and everything sits on a burlap runner.
