A Simple Lunch Barscape

I set 2 places for us at the kitchen bar for lunch. Chili on a chilly day is a favorite!!! Or if we are out of chili, soup is usually on the menu. Since the snow is falling outside I went very basic; creams and browns, and a touch of black! The placemats combine those colors and are very textural.
I used my black handled flatware, and the napkin is held in the cups handle.
If you don't want a warm beverage the rattan covered glasses are the other option.
Burlap covered votives warm the space.
I love these dishes with their carved edges.

The napkins LOOK like burlap but are a soft material. The rattan covered glasses add even more texture to the setting.
Thanks for your visit. I hope you are warm and safe during this Noreaster!!! As I write this I think we will escape the majority of the snow but feel for those of you north of us.
XO, Pinky

Between Naps on the Porch – Tablescape Thursday

  1. Your plates, while not identical, look very much like my dinnerware plates, and I'm quite certain I have those napkins too!

(Looks like Juno wasn't nearly as bad as predicted, although some areas did get a foot or more.)

  2. What a delightful setting for the two of you. Soups and stews and chili are WONDERFUL during cold weather.
How is your precious Coleen doing..?

  3. A beautiful way to enjoy your lunch and watch the snow fall....I love those dishes and the gorgeous setting!!

  4. Love the photos Pinky! I have some of those plates in square and just love them, wish I had some of your gorgeous bowls to go with them!

  5. I love your barscape, Pinky. I have the same dishes, and you've inspired me to use textures. Love chili on a cold winter day!

  6. Very pretty and elegant setting. The plates are gorgeous. I love how you incorporated a touch of burlap and natural elements to the look. We were lucky to escape all the snow. It was great to have a snow day...

  7. What a wonderful setting...love all of the neutrals together. Very cozy!

  8. Pinky,
