A Transitional Table in Green and White

I actually set a table with snowmen but then decided that since the whole room had been transformed I would put that away and start anew. I love the result I cam up with. Green is such a neutral color and the pops of white make it fresh.
I gathered 2 napkins; a white with a scalloped edge and a solid green that matches the tablecloth and runner perfectly, in a ring of greens.

On the tablecloth I stacked a rattan charger, white dinner plate, green and white salad plate and the green leaf bowl with a green apple in it.
For our centerpiece I added a white ceramic pineapple lantern, a pottery pot with a green fauz plant, and a faux mini fern under a cloche onto a wicker tray.

On each side I added 2 topiaries in white ceramic pots.
Burlap wrapped votive holders add some texture. We eat a lot of soups and chili etc. in the winter so I added the soup spoons too.
More texture on the S and P.
The sun FINALLY came out after 17 days of clouds!!!! So exciting!
I really love this runner; the pattern and the colors!

I think some of the pictures came out cloudy because the sun was SO bright it faded the shot.

I love the sun streaming into the whole back of the house most of the day. I smile every morning when I walk in here. Well, when the sun is shining I mean:):)
For dinner we can light the candles and the lantern. They are all LED candles.

I also mixed up the flatware, alternating green and white handled pieces for fun.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a beautiful day wherever you are.
XO, Pinky

  1. Beautiful table as always! You have such fresh and appealing ideas! This table makes me think that spring is already here.

    1. Darlene, thanks so much for such a lovely comment. I went to your page but didn't see any way to respond there? Your are always so sweet and supportive and I really appreciate it!

  2. Green...perfect for daydreaming about Spring to come. Glad the sun is shining as it looks so beautiful in your breakfast room.

  3. I love your sunny room! Very pretty Pinky!

  4. Your dining room looks so warm and inviting. The table is beautiful - nothing is green around us right now - in fact we got quite a bit of snow today - so it was nice to see some green!!

  5. Beautiful table, Pinky. Love the runner and the dishes are gorgeous. Take care, Maria

  6. Beautiful table Pinky. Love how you wrapped greenery around the layered napkins. Its just a perfect table to celebrate the sunlight you're getting.
