I found this vintage sled last year in an antique shop, in the summer!
The sitting area.
I got the VW pillow because we had a VW bug when we first got married.
I think I found the ceramic trucks at Target, this year. The runner came from Christmas Tree shops.
Joe bought this piece even before we moved in here. He knew he wanted it for this space. He decorates it at Christmas with his collection of Willey Ray pieces.
The Santa in the corner is made of bark and burlap. I embellished it with lights, some birds etc. Joe made his eyeglasses from wire:) A close up is further down this post.
The rocker came from Lancaster county, made by the Amish.
I set up the bar (and the table) for our Christmas dinner.
Joe has some decorations on the bar shelves too.
Some of his favorite things sit on the shelves at Christmas.
I took some nighttime shots with the lights on for you too. That is a wicker sled that I have had for MANY years! I decorated it with the lights, greens, pinecones and deer.
Isn't he neat!??
This is Joe's "critter tree". I keep adding to it each year for him.
Thanks for your visit. I hope you had a wonderful New Years. We had 2 parties that we went to.
Wishing you all love, peace and good health this coming year. I am looking forward to sharing more fun things through the year.
XO, Pinky

I just love it that Joe decorates for the season! The whistling snowman is SO cute!
ReplyDeleteRegarding my stemware it is on my "to do" list to send one of the pieces to Replacements.com for identification. The set originally belonged to my grandparents and has wine, water, cordial and old fashioned champagne style glasses. There is also a matching sugar/creamer on a tray. Over the years I've lost a few pieces but truly I can find nothing that I like better. Happy New Year my friend!
Your basement (and it really deserves a much better term than that) looks fabulous! So comfy and cozy that I don't think I would ever want to leave. There is much to comment on here, but I'll have to limit myself or I'd be going on all day. A few things jumped out at me. The snow shoe (I have long wanted one or two of these), the birdcage (I have a bit of a collection), and all of the car and tree things like the pillow, runner, and actual car with tree. Lovely, Pinky!
