Add the marsala to the pan of onions along with 2 cans of beef BROTH.
and let them simmer
After all the chicken is browned, set it aside
deglaze the pan with a little marsala
put the chicken back into the pan
then add back in the onion mixture and let it all cook . This is so yummy. We also added a small can of mushrooms towards the end of the cooking time. If you have fesh mushrooms that is even better.
Hope you try this and enjoy it. We had mashed potatoes and a green vegetable with this. I was in such a hurry to eat, I didn't get a shot. I am joining these parties:

Thanks so much for your visit, I have a few more recipes coming soon. XO, Pinky
Thank you my dear Pinky, I'm loving this chicken. Hubby is a good cook too and loves to do so on the weekends. Here's a great recipe for our weekend, oy any other day--how is the house decor coming around? Have a great week.

This sounds delightful and delicious. :)
ReplyDeleteAre you beginning to feel "at home" yet in the new house?
We are moving in the next few months and, after living here for 40 yrs, I am sure nothing will ever feel like home again....:)
Sounds very delicious, Pinky, I am going to try it. Are you feeling any effects from Hurricane Sandy? xo
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is yummy!
ReplyDeleteHi Pinky~ I've always had Chicken Marsala with mushrooms, not onions. Joe's version sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteKeeping you & everyone in Sandy's path in our thoughts and prayers! I hope she miraculously fizzles out or changes course. My hubby was supposed to be on his annual fishing trip at the Outer Banks this past weekend~ I hope the Outer Banks are still there.
mmmm, sounds so good. I haven't cooked marsala in a long time. I use a recipe on the label of a bottle of red cooking wine...your recipe sounds really flavorful. A must try!

ReplyDeleteOh Pinky....hope the storm will not affect you that much....stay safe!!!
ReplyDeleteI can almost smell this wonderful dish as it's cooking.
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky that Joe like to cook and cooks well.
This sounds delicious! I love onions too....lots of them!
Hugs,
Pinky,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recipe...loved seeing glimpses of Joe in the kitchen!!!
Fondly,
Pat
I will be trying this!! I love onions too!
ReplyDeleteI got the witch from Carolina Pottery the one on my wall. The one on my Bakers Rack came from Tuesday Morning. I love them!
