With VERY low temperatures and biting winds outside I am dreaming of warmer climates and tropical breezes!!! So, I have set a table to transport us there!!!
I kept the green tablecloth on the table and added the rattan place mats for added texture and they remind me of thatched huts:) I also am using a stack of plates which include a set that I got many years ago that have palm trees on them and palm foliage on the dinner plate.
I put 2 napkins together and corralled them with a simple green and white ring.My clear bubble glasses remind me of sparkling waters.
The leaf bowl resembles the foliage on the plates
The salad plates have 4 different plam trees on them
This white raised edge plate is one of my favorites and I wish I could find more of them. WALMART sold them several years ago so if any of you know a source PLEASE let me know!!!
And this is the dinner plate.
Of course I am using my palm tree flatware.
The S and P have a rattan covering too.
I placed two matching rattan based candle holders on each side of the Terrarium centerpiece.
I am LOVING the hutch that Joe made in here!!!!! I can't believe it took me over a year to put it here! What was I thinking?????
Thanks so much for stopping by. Please let me know you were here with a comment, they make my day! XO, Pinky

Looks like you are ready for Spring and I hope it comes soon for you!
ReplyDeleteYour table looks lovely and tropical. I'll keep an eye out for those white plates!
Anything green makes me happy this time of year. Sorry you are getting snow again. I don't mind the snow so much because here in Virginia it melts pretty quickly but I am tired of washing the salt off of my car. Come on Spring!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh this is such a pretty tablescape and it definitely looks like Spring and the Tropics. I love it all. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table as usual. I love that Tropical look to it with the perfect pretty dishes Pinky! Hope weather gets warm soon for all of you in the USA.

Pinky,
ReplyDeleteNOT ready for the tropics here on my side of the Prairie. . .for it is finally SNOWing today!!! It has been all around us, but we seemed to miss it all, except the COLD!!! We are desperate for the moisture...and me, I'm desperate for the beauty it brings!!!
Your tablescape is stunning!!! Love all the textures within the settings! I'm not sure I've mentioned before, but I love how you set the centerpiece back in this position when it's just you and Joe!!!
Sending "warm" thoughts your way, dear friend!!!
Fondly,
Pat
We're all so ready for warmer, spring....nay...SUMMER weather.:)

Oh Pinky, I am thrilled you are treating us to a Spring setting in the tropics. I am ready for spring or the tropics, I would go in a second and enjoy the sun and warm weather. Creative idea for this time of year.
ReplyDeleteLove your balmy, tropical table Pinky…we need more of that with these cold temps and snow we have been experiencing…Great colors to make you feel that Spring is near!..
ReplyDeleteJudy, I am new to your blog but so enjoyed my visit. I reaped ideas for hosting a couple friends next Friday, the 14th, so thank you for that. You are definitely inspiring us for Spring. I invite you to return the visit anytime you are in the neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteHi Pinkie! What a lovely warm and tropical table! Love your dishes and those bowls are so pretty! The light shining through your windows is so pretty and the hutch looks perfect there! Thanks for popping in to see me and your sweet comments. They mean a lot to me.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Love your trip to the tropics via your table Pinky! I was glad to read your power is back on...BRRRR! I always feel for the linemen and workers who have to go out in the middle of the night or in the cold to respond to emergencies.
ReplyDeleteYour Joe is a master craftsman, love your hutch!
What a beautiful tablescape! This setting has a bit of a British Colonial feel to it! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table, Pinky….the colors and textures all speak of a warmer climate. Love the light shining thru the window and adding warmth to the table.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!
