There are many farms, usually Amish farms along the way.
I came across this Amish man leading his team of what I think are mules.
They have to work hard since they still don't use electricity!
We were meeting in Strasburg so rather than taking the road around the town, I went through the town as I was early. I love this quaint little town and the houses along the main street.
This is the restaurant where we met; The Fireside Tavern. It used to be The Strasburg Inn and Joe and I have eaten here MANY times over the years. I took these shots to show Joe as the last time we were here it was all a big construction mess outside:) I'm sorry I didn't get a shot of the front of the restaurant.
This is a B and B in Strasburg. I have had a friend for over 40 years who's Father-in-law owned this home. He was a Doctor in Strasburg. Now it is called the Limestone Inn.
Their children gave them a gift of 2 nights here for an anniversary gift several years ago so they could go back. How sweet!
Buggys are a common sighting along the way so I always go slow in case there is one around a corner!
I hope you enjoyed going along on this little ride with me. Yvonne lives in a beautiful part of our state as those of you who read her blog (www.stonegableblog.com ) know. She is a dear friend and a beautiful person, inside and out.
Thanks for your visit.
XO, Pinky
