~~~WELCOME Fall!!!~~~~~
Hi everyone! I wasn't going to post the porch yet but since it is the first day of FALL, I decided to take some pics and WELCOME you all! It is supposed to RAIN, alot, here for the next few days so I had to take advantage and get some shots!  My impatiens are BOUNTIFUL here in the front of the house. As you can see, they are about 2 feet high! I purposely plant red and orange impatiens in the Spring, so that they will look good through the Fall! I'm smart like that:):)
 The front porch as seen from the driveway.
 This bench is an oldie but a goodie! Last year we stained it EBONY. I love it black and especially in the Fall!
 On the bench I have my scarecrow (who wouldn't scare a flea)!!! along with a pretty, colorful pillow, a clay jack o lantern, a mum and gourds and pumpkins!
 AWWW, isn't he cute???:):)
 I don't "do" spooky! I like FRIENDLY looking pumpkins:):)
 On the other side of the porch is a chair and the round table from the back deck.
 This little guy welcomes you as well.
 I found this great pumpkin at CTS last year! Since it says "Harvest time" I can leave it like this til Thanksgiving! Love that!
 My Joe grew this coleus from a tiny little plant! The colors are SO pretty! He kept it alive over last winter!
 This little pillow was found at CTS also.
I DO welcome Fall! It is a favorite time of year for me. I look forward to apple cider, pumpkin pie and bread, comfort food, wearing different clothes, the smell of candles, and snuggling by a fire! It is still warm right now but cooler weather is right around the corner, I know! You all are WELCOME any time, so please come back!!!! XO, Pinky   I will join some of these parties too:
~~~A Simple weekday Dinner~~~

I thought I would show you all what a simple weeknight dinner is like here for us. I don't do a fancy table at all! On this night we had chili for dinner that Joe made last Thurs. It is DELICIOUS, and I will do a post with the recipe probably on Sunday for On The Menu Monday at Stone Gable. I am loving this beautiful combination of brown and green this Fall!
 I got these leaf napkins at Home Goods 2 years ago.
 I used my brown bamboo flatware too.

 These are the DOLLAR STORE S and P. I think they are so cute. I love acorns and pumpkins!

 This gravy boat gets alot of use in the Fall and Winter around here. It has a leaf design embossed on it.
 Can you see the leaves?

 I bought just ONE of these beautiful pumpkin bowls this year for my cereal that I have EVERY morning. I know, I am very boring:):) But I thought I would like to have a pretty bowl for my cereal. Now I wish I had gotten 2 since we eat ALOT of soups and chili etc. in the Fall.
 I love the design on it!
 Oh dear, I need to do my nails:):):)
 Here is my bowl of chili mac. We love it over macaroni and sprinkled with CHEESE!!!!!

 Pecarino Romano is my FAVORITE!!!!!
Hope you will come back for the recipe. It is VERY good! And not in the least fattening:):):) Oh well, everything in moderation, right???? That's my story, and I'm stickin to it!!!! Thanks so much for stopping by. Leave me a comment so I know you were here!!!!! XO, Pinky I will join Tablescape Thurday at http://www.betwennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/  Please go visit if you want to see BEAUTIFUL tables!!!!

~~~Nature's Bounty Centerpiece~~~
Fall seems to be peeking around the corner here in Pa. We have had several days of cool weather, highs in the 60's! Definitely a TASTE of Fall in the air! Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. These beautiful, sunnydays with clear blue skies and just a hint of coolness. LOOOOOVE it! On Saturday I made 4 new arrangements for my house for Fall! This is the one I made for the kitchen table. I decided to do something different in several spots around the house this year. I used a low basket, and also did an arrangement in an urn. That is on the left here. It is filled with hydrangeas from my yard, some pumpkin and gourd picks, sunflowers, berries and fall leaves! I also used ONE of several large faux acorns I bought at Pier One recently.
 Into the basket I also placed my ceramic yellow gourd, a faux kale, a LARGE pinecone thingy, some dried artichokes, and leaves.
 Isn't this beautiful!!! I love that it won't get all mushy and horrible but stay beautiful for years to come!
 The white acorn from Pier One. I love acorns for Fall decorating!
 I am coming around the arrangement so you can see all sides.
 Can you see the urn that the arrangement is in? It is a very dark brown.
 I also just simply placed a bush of faux dalias in the basket too. The colors are so pretty!
 This plaid runner is VERY old but I love the texture of it and how the brown placemats go so nicely. I will show you in later posts that I change out placemats VERY frequently here. I use printed pumpkin ones, leaf printed ones etc. Right now I am LOVING the brown and green (of my dishes) combination! These 2 votive holders, I recently got for $1.99 each!!!!!!!! They are metal with leaves and I loved them!
 The sun is pouring in the windows this morning. Another beautiful Fall day!!
 Here is a close up of the votive holder. I also placed an amber one inside I can use them with the amber or just the clear glas insert.
I will be sharing the other arrangements I created later on. I hope you like this one! Fall is such a special time, nature in it's glory. The colors of Fall are MY colors! I have always gravitated towards rusts, golds, browns etc. Have a wonderful day everyone. Stop and take in the beauty all around you! XO, Pinky I am joining Susan at Metamorphis Monday at http://www.betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ I am also joining Kim for Wow Us Wed. at http://www.savvysouthernstyle.blogspot.com/
