I thought I would show you all what a simple weeknight dinner is like here for us. I don't do a fancy table at all! On this night we had chili for dinner that Joe made last Thurs. It is DELICIOUS, and I will do a post with the recipe probably on Sunday for On The Menu Monday at Stone Gable. I am loving this beautiful combination of brown and green this Fall!
I got these leaf napkins at Home Goods 2 years ago.I used my brown bamboo flatware too.
These are the DOLLAR STORE S and P. I think they are so cute. I love acorns and pumpkins!
This gravy boat gets alot of use in the Fall and Winter around here. It has a leaf design embossed on it.
Can you see the leaves?
I bought just ONE of these beautiful pumpkin bowls this year for my cereal that I have EVERY morning. I know, I am very boring:):) But I thought I would like to have a pretty bowl for my cereal. Now I wish I had gotten 2 since we eat ALOT of soups and chili etc. in the Fall.
I love the design on it!
Oh dear, I need to do my nails:):):)
Here is my bowl of chili mac. We love it over macaroni and sprinkled with CHEESE!!!!!
Pecarino Romano is my FAVORITE!!!!!
Hope you will come back for the recipe. It is VERY good! And not in the least fattening:):):) Oh well, everything in moderation, right???? That's my story, and I'm stickin to it!!!! Thanks so much for stopping by. Leave me a comment so I know you were here!!!!! XO, Pinky I will join Tablescape Thurday at http://www.betwennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ Please go visit if you want to see BEAUTIFUL tables!!!!
It looks really good! Except I'd have to pick the beans out. I know, I know but I'm just not a bean fan.
ReplyDeleteYour table looks so pretty, I love fall colors and decorations.
ReplyDeleteThat bowl is really pretty, you need to go back and find another one.

ReplyDeleteOkay, I am officially stealing that pumpkin bowl... cuteness! I mean, I already have the same flatware and similar placemats, so I think it would go great!
ReplyDeleteHappy Tablescape Thursday to you...
XO,
Sheila
Your table looks wonderful and so earthy. perfect setting for a Fall chili dinner. Love the napkins with the salt and pepper set. The dollar store is wonderful for treasures.
ReplyDeletePinky,
ReplyDeleteI adore your green and brown tablescape, dear! Those salt & pepper shakers are just adorable...my brown pumpkins are from the Dollar Tee, as well! I had to smile when you wrote that we have the same Crock Pots!!! Guess that's why we're still such good cooks. Thanks for stopping by with your swet comment and visit. See you again, soon!
Fondly,
Pat
I'm lovin' the brown and green, too, Pinky! And you're not boring for eating cereal every weekday morning out of the same bowl...my husband does the same thing, and it's a relief not to have to figure out what to prepare for him every morning in addition to the snacks, lunches, and dinners!!!! (It's omelets on Saturdays and waffles on Sundays, so nothing to figure out there, either!) I have to tell you that the cabbage in that floral design looks really real! I have had a hard time finding any that take on that natural appearance....even at the wholesale place! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI do like the brown and green together, great for the beginning of autumn when we don't want to pull all the oranges out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit -- Fall is looking lovely on your porch and your table. Hope your blogging issues are fixed soon!
